Welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions here. I edited and added source citations for the article Madam C. J. Walker after your last edit. Your edits to this page had a lot of good information. But it's highly desirable to "say where you got it". In other words to cite your sources. The sources also tell our readers that the information is credible and authoritative. One easy way to do this is by using templates like this one Template:Cite web. You literally fill in the blanks (look at the article again in change mode to see what blanks are filled in to get the source citation.

As a contributor here you are an editor, the same as the rest of us. And that is a point worth mentioning. We are editors here not authors. We compile information from reliable sources and edit it into an article. Editors need to be careful not to stray too far towards authorship—that is, writing from your own perspectives, thoughts and ideas. At Wikipedia that is called original research (OR) and that is highly discouraged. If you take a look at the article carefully, click on some of the links to sources. Compare the two to see how this was done. You should see that the words are not exactly the same but the ideas are. It's called paraphrasing so as to avoid any copyright issues (most sources are copyrighted and can't be copied word for word). I apologize in advance if you knew any of this. But I hope some or all of this helps you in your editing here. Please feel free to ask if you have any questions or post them to Wikipedia:Simple talk. Thanks and have fun editing here.
