Get my page back NOW! I have something to say, a good reason why it should not be deleted. This is obviously notable, so it could be referenced. There must be plenty of sources. We shouldn't delete this, because it's possible there may be sources that we haven't found. — Preceding unsigned comment added by FurryBeast (talkcontribs)

You will have to go to Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion if you want it undeleted. J991 16:12, 8 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

volcanos/volcanoes

I don't think it is right to say that one is correct and the other is not. The trend is to move towards the simpler spelling, but both are correct. The reason is that even without the 'e' the last syllable is pronounced with a long 'o' (in English). Therefore the older spelling achieves little. See potatos/potatoes or tomato/tomatoes where we do not change the spelling of the 'a' despite it being pronounced differently across the Atlantic. Consistency within a page is our only rule in such cases. Macdonald-ross (talk) 18:25, 26 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

QD Notification

Hi J991,the notification you sent me about the creation of 78.blah blah blah was not meant for me as that was a talk page. I moved the page to the correct place as sb else had made a bad redirect. Regards--DJ Perez ( - ) 17:39, 1 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, that was most likely Twinkle's fault. It always sends the notification to the creator of the page, even if it was a redirect created through a move. J991 17:54, 1 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Mr J991. Sir, ould you give me some pages that needs to be edited. I cannot just edit pages without a reason, you know? Besides, I was an administrator on Wikipedia. I was successful and I'm also a good coder and spy. Could you protect my page from vandalism; as my Wikipedia page was constantly vandalized in the past. NerdyLady (talk) 11:00, 8 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry if I gave the wrong impression, but I'm not actually an administrator, so I can't protect your page (and I don't see any vandalism to it anyway). There's a list of things you can do here if you're looking for some pages to edit. J991 11:07, 8 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Need your help please.

Hi J991. Earlier today, you told an IP editor blanking their talk page that they weren't allowed to remove messages from the page. Can you explain to me why, because they've asked me to point them where it says they can't clear their page, and I can't do that. DaneGeld (talk) 21:56, 16 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The only reason I thought that IPs weren't allowed to clear their talk pages was because some admins here have told them to stop doing it (see this example). Apparently, this is because IPs are assigned to different people over time. However, you're right that there is no mention of it in policy (that I can see). Maybe there should be a discussion about this on Wikipedia:Simple talk? J991 12:01, 17 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Experimenced Editor!

Hi, Thank you for your changes on LOL, reverting vandalism, and so! Thank you! I have another question, please add "twinkle", "tw" or something in the ad for summary when using the gadget "twinkle" as ad, when using the tool, so other editors can see a note when using that tool, it's helpful! Thank you for your changes also! Three smileys will you also get ! Psl631 talk 17:46, 2 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Soooo, in regards to the edits made by this account, this account belongs to a school, everyone in the school edits from this IP adress. I don`t know how we can stop this from happening, just wanted to let you know. 216.56.104.2 (talk) 15:31, 10 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I understand your concern, but monitoring edits is really all you can do, which is something that has to be done at your end. Subscribing to a web feed of your talk page might help with this. J991 15:38, 11 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Curtis Hanson: QD declined...

Hello, J991. Just wanted to let you know that I declined your QD request on Curtis Hanson. Yes, the article was probably copied from EnWP, but I don't think it is very difficult to understand. If you still think it should be deleted, please go through the regular deletion process. --Eptalon (talk) 15:42, 19 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
