Welcome[change source]

Hello! I am assuming you have come over from the English Wikipedia, so you are probably familiar with the way this wiki works. I hope you like it here and decide to stay. Here are a few links to help you adjust:

There is much to do here. For example, there are a lot of articles that do not exist yet, which you can bring over from the English Wikipedia and simplify. Do have a look around and see what you would like to do. Thank you for joining us, and you know how to contact me if you need help. rollingbarrels (talk) 19:18, 14 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

That QD[change source]

Yeah, when I posted the author was making a million changes that made no sense and now I saw you changed my QD reason :) Thanks for the help --PotsdamLamb (talk) 21:47, 15 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

RedWarn[change source]

Hi, thanks for your changes here. I was wondering, how do you use RedWarn here/on other Wikipedias? I thought it could only be used on the English Wikipedia. It is a very useful tool that I have been wanting to use here for a while. Thanks, Belwine (talk) 15:02, 16 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Belwine: I basically took the source code from enwiki’s RW and modified it slightly to make it report users to VIP instead of AIV, and AN instead of RFPP. This also works on all WMF wikis (I briefly had it installed globally), and even on Uncyclopedia. You install it by adding mw.loader.load('//simple.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User:JJPMaster/RedWarn.js&action=raw&ctype=text/javascript'); to your common.js. Ah ok, thanks very much. --Belwine (talk) 15:13, 16 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Belwine: Also, I for some reason knew that you specifically would ask me about RW after I read your interaction with Pahunkat. JJP...MASTER![talk to] JJP... master? 17:22, 16 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yep, I use RedWarn a lot on enwiki (see here) and I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't use it on other projects. I've now added the script to my common.js, thanks. --Belwine (talk) 17:27, 16 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

response to edit summary[change source]

I would think that obvious BLP violations would be an exception to 3RR. Also, the user who created the article is evading global locks and sockpuppetry blocks here. --Belwine (talk) 17:13, 17 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Belwine: I thought as much. AFAICT we usually follow enwiki policies when there are no simplewiki policies that cover a situation, and enwiki's 3RR policy states that "Removing contentious material that is libelous, biased, unsourced, or poorly sourced according to Wikipedia's biographies of living persons (BLP) policy." is an exemption to 3RR JJP...MASTER![talk to] JJP... master? 17:17, 17 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Dang You[change source]

On Jodhra tribe we had an edit conflict as I was making changes on the flip side to get it into MOS and I am going to tag it as well. I will leave the MOS part alone as I spent 10 minutes making all the changes and formatting. Thanks :) PotsdamLamb (talk) 18:49, 18 February 2021 (UTC) (FYI - Not being mean)[reply]
