Users are not your employees, nor they can be treated like you are doing lately. This is just my humble opinion, you can still continue ignoring it, but I feel that a dialogue is much better than mute contrast. --M7 19:45, 27 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your help, but we're all set now.

Please stop asking for emergency sysop access so often. Some things -can- wait. The accounts you blocked were only editing a single page. You're also missing some finer points about the admin rights, such as leaving personal information in the deletion log and deleting one of our deletion templates, Template:Non. -- Netoholic @ 00:42, 28 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Don't worry about the personal information in the logs, I've asked Tim Starling to remove the data from the database. Cheers, Tangotango (talk) 14:15, 28 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Request to Stewards[change source]

I've posted a Request that is specifically addressed to Stewards, since I'm not sure that you can hold a veto right against sysop candidates on simple.wikipedia. Please review it and express your opinion. Thank you, M/ M7 22:41, 8 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What "veto right" are you talking about? I've been away from Simple for about a week and am just now catching up on things like admin requests. I did not promote Tdxiang because he had only 8 of 11 votes (72%) and I used my judgement also based on his recent activity which should show he is not ready for adminship. Maybe later, but not now. As for other admin requests, I am looking into them. I have contacted Vector by email, per my procedure to verify that his email access works. Eptalon's request has only ben up for about one day, so I am not ready to promote yet.
I think you need to stop trolling me and getting involved in politics. You are making a lot of assumptions about me, and getting many of them wrong. -- Netoholic @ 22:47, 8 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Edit wars are bad[change source]

Hello, M7. Vandals want attention. Therefore fighting edit wars is bad. So far, only 2 pages have been affected. It is probably wiser to let the person wear out his/her 4 warnings, and then post ot the admin board. -- Eptalon 22:57, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi M7, thank you for your invitation to run for bureaucratship. Impersonating, etc[change source]

Hello M7. Personally, I am fine with you blocking such accounts on sight. IMO, you should be fine with doing one day blocks. To be sure, however, check with one of our Bureaucrats (esp, for infinite blocks on perceived vandal-only accounts). Also, make sure each blocked user gets informed. There is a block template you can use for that. Archer7, and Blockinblox. To my knowledge, Archer7 is the currently more active of the two. --Eptalon 17:33, 25 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have infinitely blocked the offending ones. This was relatively easy as I see them as inappropriate usernames. So, go ahead, and do any further (infinite, but leave account creation open) blocks, when you see more of them. --Eptalon 17:45, 25 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated you for checkuser access on WP:RFA. Please complete the Candidate's acceptance section.

Best of all, - Huji reply 14:34, 18 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

BTW, I will also send a message on your talk page on It WP. - Huji reply 14:35, 18 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, I was kind of uncertain... but since you've nominated only two people, and the minimum required by the policy is two people, then I accept. --M7 15:06, 18 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You are experienced about this. You can help a lot. It won't be a problem if you don't check that regularly (for example, if you check twice a week, it would be fine, I guess). Indeed, you can help the other CU (or CUs) and check their use of the tool as well. - Huji reply 16:15, 18 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
As you can image, I've several pages of some wikies on my watchlist. To add another one (Request for CU, may be) is not a great effort. But the choice is up to simple.wiki community, of course. If there is another nominee available, he is going to have my full support. --M7 16:28, 18 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You now have checkUser access. Please subscribe to checkUser-l, the private mailing list for checkUsers. If you use IRC, you can contact Dmcdevit or Jdforrester for access to the private freenode channel #wikimedia-checkuser. Thanks. —Pathoschild 18:15:14, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Trusting Users[change source]

Hello M7,

On your RfCU, I supported you since you were already a steward, I had the 100% confidence on supporting you. For Creol, I admire him in many ways and trust him as a sysop, but not completely as a checkuser. As I stated on his RfCU, Creol has only sysop rights here; and makes several (or a few) edits in other wikis. That's my only problem on not to support him. Take user Lar for example, he's a sysop and checkuser in en wiki, commons (+bureaucrat), and meta which is enough proof that he is capable of being a CU. But Creol lacks that kind of proof (I don't really know how to express this on how I want to).

Well I hope you understand my concern (if I'm sounding very weird). Peace;) --§ Snake311 (T + C) 22:11, 18 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

75.71.32.203 block[change source]

Just wanted to point out that there seems to be an issue with this block. The last two warnings issued to the IP were actually given after reverts of not just good faith edits, but of totally correct edits. The talk page covers the edits fully. The editor reverting apparently did not fully check the edits and just assumed it was further vandalism prior to warning the user and reporting the incident. As it was only a three hour block, it is pretty much a null point now, but wanted to inform you. -- Creol(talk) 03:04, 31 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure if you intentionally did this, but when you blocked User:Me: +44 01278 651 973, you disabled account creation and when the user requested unblock, you told him/her to register again. With the account creation disabled, the user can't create an account with an acceptable username. I'd suggest you allow account creation when you block an unacceptable username, unless its obviously a vandal or a sockpuppet. Cheers-- Lights  talk  15:16, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Caricatura[change source]

Any chance of a translation? Microchip 19:13, Monday, July 7 2008 Utc
Pio was banned on it.wiki and he blames on me about his reincarnation "Tamburellista", who was also blocked. --M7 (talk) 21:49, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

no evidence for your assertion: I, Pio and Tamburellista are 3 persons. Your harassment is a violation.--Pio (talk) 11:27, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A violation of what, exactly? --M7 (talk) 13:22, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I personally like the part where him (Pio), Pio and Tamburellista are three different people.. I always assumed Pio and Pio were Pio. That is a weird coincidence, I tell you. Pio is not Pio, who would have guessed that. And I think the violation is against the rule about looking at a Duck and calling it a duck. They are sensitive little quackers.. -- Creol(talk) 14:27, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Some ducks are duckier than other ducks? ;) --Eptalon (talk) 14:44, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

your personal attacks are funny: am I a Duck? Pio and Tamburellista are 2 users in Italian wiki and I am other Pio: M7 violation is to ban their accounts in Italian wiki stalking my changes here then no evidence! I never logged in Italian and English wiki--Pio (talk) 14:17, 9 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Another user made me notice your changes here, my personal opinion is that his report is seriously founded, so I blocked Tamburellista and his several sockpuppets. His use of sockpuppet was also confirmed by an it.wiki Checkuser. Please note that I did not take any action here. Now, looking at your contributions list, I can just warn other sysop about your Pio's long dating habit to make several POV edits to articles and claiming to be attacked by almost everybody else. --M7 (talk) 14:51, 9 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

if you are correct, tell me who is this user: is a user in which language? He is in violation of stalking against me then certainly he is POV editor!--Pio (talk) 15:07, 9 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The message was in italian, of course his/her name will not be revealed. But it should'n be of any problem for you, since you have written above that you never logged on it.wiki, on en.wiki. --M7 (talk) 15:25, 9 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is a personal question between me and that lier user who canvassed you too. I think so: there are organized gangs with political pushing propaganda and canvassing for to ban accounts of different POV!--Pio (talk) 16:14, 9 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

And the confusion here is realy quacking me up.. so we have PIO/Pio (en/it) and Pio (simple) who are two entirely separate people. Without ever logging into two separate wikis, Pio (simple) is complaining that M/ had (insert multiple terms bordering on breaching local law and getting realy close to legal threats: we'll just say "something to do") with the banning of specific accounts via information on stalking (of a person with the same name who an is entirely different person on two wiki's this first person has never been on). Pio (simple) coincidently has the same interest in a specific person (created article Josip Broz Tito‎ which by the way is fairly useless as written and needs either a rewrite or Rfd) as the same person with the same name on en:wp (PIO (en/it) see whatlinksto for his usename on references to him and another user dealing with said article).

A random En:wp user who has noticable issues with Pio (en) comes here and points fingers and screams "IC Ducks" but Pio (simple) comments "R not duck, quit stalking me". This is total confussion as if not duck, how is he stalking you.. If Pio (simple) is not PIO (en), then the user stalking Pio(en) (if said stalking is happening, but that is an en issue) is not stalking Pio (simple) (he is stalking Pio(en)) and yet Pio (simple) says he is stalking him. Basic logic states if A=B and A=C then A=C.. If User(a) is stalking Pio (simple)(b) and User(a) is stalking PIO (en)(c) then Pio(simple)(b) = PIO (en)(c).

Shame we do not have a steward who would be willing to compare CU data from Pio on en:wp, simple:wp, and it:wp.. Cross wiki issues with local laws could be an issue, but under US law (and "wiki-law" as it is under US law) there is no violation of law or even privacy policy to look at these accounts and compare information as to them being from the same person. Without a steward (they got much to do at times.. people like Spacebirdy and M/ can't always be bothered to with things like this even though it is well within their power to look at each and every edit the accounts have ever made on every Wikimedia Foundation wiki) Getting an en:wp checkuser and Simple: Checkuser to check the data would not be hard though, contacting the it: checkusers to compare the data should not even present a large issue. At this point, I feel there is sufficient evidence of crosswiki (en/it/simple at the very least... es and fr should probable also be informed) vandalism/POV editing/harrassment to warrant investigating the matter. -- Creol(talk) 05:33, 10 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

vandalism/POV editing/harrassment by organized gangs reported by me! Certainly! My computer is used by 4 persons and one time my friend logged in Italian and English wiki using nickname Pio--Pio (talk) 12:38, 10 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
"One time" your friend did this?? Pio (en) first edited in May 2006 and has almost 800 edits over nearly a 2 year period. Pio (it) started in April of 2005 and 1100+ edits before being blocked nearly three years later. That is certainly more than one time. Is he the one that logged into the 20+ other projects as well? If this is true, I would highly suggest you activate Single User Login on your account so only you can use the name Pio on wikipedias. (its in your preferences - "manage accounts" - "unify accounts") -- Creol(talk) 13:56, 10 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Pio is a first name popular very much in the world: in fact Saint Pio embalmed in en:San Giovanni Rotondo is a Saint revered very much in the world. I don't know others Pio logged into the 20+ other projects and is no possible for me using only Pio because other users Pio logged in before me: for example, Spanish and Portuguese wiki have others Pio and I logged in as Jxy.--Pio (talk) 14:25, 10 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sandbox[change source]

Sorry..he was authorized to by me. I am testing out a new Xchat Perl MediaWiki API script that someone made for me. It works.. :p --Bsadowski1 21:54, 9 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Why did you change my block on 68.168.212.13? I thought I formatted it correctly. Griffinofwales (talk) 21:38, 7 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

block change[change source]

I changed the block settings on 99.248.26.203 because I believe that you incorrectly blocked talk page editing. If for some reason I was in the wrong, feel free to revert. Griffinofwales (talk) 21:22, 30 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

--M7 (talk) 22:16, 21 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey M7. I altered your block on User:84.45.106.151 and set the expiry at three years, as this IP is an open proxy. Thanks!--Gordonrox24 | Talk 17:37, 29 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yep thanks. We have really been having a hard time with proxy vandals. Lots of them recently.--Gordonrox24 | Talk 18:08, 29 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for blocking the 216.186.5.186 guy. The Simple English Wikipedia got hit really hard in the 11 minutes he spammed and vandalized the whole thing. Well, anyway, thanks for blocking him. Reverter (talk) 21:22, 9 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Kalum0101[change source]

Hello M7. Just letting you know that Kalum0101 (talk · contribs) has violated the first and only warning you issued, and vandalised twice more three more times. This may warrant a block. Cheers, Orashmatash 13:44, 17 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Great job and thank you! --Crobau (talk) 23:22, 20 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your block[change source]

Hi, I was wondering why you blocked that account with no email or talk for one edit. I can understand it's a vandalism-only account but bad username? --Bsadowski1 19:46, 6 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked...[change source]

I've removed this block because it appears you have placed it in error by mistake. User was in the sandbox, and the flooding, was not bad at all. Very respectfully, Jon@talk:~$ 22:53, 7 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

very much for noticing this vandal. --Hyk22123 (talk) 13:12, 27 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Grazie! :) --Mark91it's my world 22:45, 13 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I think you should also delete the two articles he created. (And I actually think I should practice my Italian more than anything else... :)) --Mark91it's my world 22:50, 13 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

3 hour block[change source]

Why did you block User:31.51.166.194 as he only created a bad page twice and was never warned? Reception123/Receptie123 (talk) 15:48, 23 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for the comment. I understand now. Reception123/Receptie123 (talk) 15:52, 23 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you so much M7. You'll be the first one I' write too when he continues this. BTW be on the look for Linda Lovelace and Despicable Me. --TDKR Chicago 101 (talk) 07:41, 23 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I couldn't find the equivalent of enWP's Admin Noticeboard, so I picked you at random from the admin list. I recommend deleting the userpage of User:Anisha Abbasi then blocking them. Why? I fear it is an attempt to start the same type of thing they just got blocked for on enWP. See en:User talk:AASMOHAMMADABBASIACTOR#Multiple accounts --Geniac (talk) 05:23, 17 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

See here. Eurodyne (talk) 05:56, 17 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, simple.wiki has a different policy from en.wiki in handling deletions and block. Should you see multiple accounts or other abuse on this wiki, please feel free to report again on the noticeboard. Thank you, --M7 (talk) 18:55, 17 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

GoshiDoll[change source]

Would you like to decide what is the appropriate length of time to block this user? My 3 hours was just a holding device, and in the meantime you have reverted the changes he/she made. Personally, I was thinking of indefinite as an all-vandalism account. Macdonald-ross (talk) 20:24, 15 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, M7. When you block a user who has been reported at WP:VIP, would you please make a note there so that your fellow admins don't have to spend time investigating? Thanks. --Auntof6 (talk) 03:27, 1 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
