2013 El Reno tornado[change source]

Just to explain, I reverted your two changes to 2013 El Reno tornado for specific reasons. I'm sure it was inadvertent but your first edit broke text–source integrity. The source cited said "Moore, OK", not Bridge Creek (some 22 miles away). We need to stay with what a source actually said. You can look at other equal or better sources and if a significant number say Bridge Creek you can cite one of those sources instead. In that instance the change would have been perfectly acceptable. Note that the same source is cited for three different statements. So if you do want to find a replacement source make sure it doesn't break text-source integrity with the other two statements it's used for. Secondly, red links serve a very useful purpose (click the link for an explanation). It is when an article contains too many red links that another editor might flag the article. Also red links should not be to subjects that are not likely to ever have an article. In this case the English Wikipedia does have an article on Bridge Creek, Oklahoma (a good indicator) and it would be a candidate to be copied to this Wikipedia or created from scratch. So it would have been fine as a red link, if not for the other problem with the citation. If you have any questions on either of these points, don't hesitate to ask. If I don't know an answer I can certainly find someone else who does. Thanks and good luck with your editing. Rus793 (talk) 15:54, 12 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Nice. You found another good source and created a stub for Bridge Creek. Rus793 (talk) 01:37, 14 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
