New - Questions[change source]

Hello mercy, I'm new here and have some questions. Can you tell me someone to ask? Greets --Tschips (talk) 08:25, 15 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, feel free to ask here. --Mercy (talk) 08:31, 15 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hi mercy, I did Rodgau and now I'm a bit uneasy about the language level. It would be good to have a comment on it. --Tschips (talk) 23:51, 16 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Tschips, I've made several fixes in the article. Feel free to review them. Best regards, --Mercy (talk) 18:34, 17 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Good work! So do you think it's ok with the language level? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tschips (talkcontribs)
I guess it is. --Mercy (talk) 08:35, 18 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Ok then, I go on with this stile. So is it ok to make stubs like Babenhausen? --Tschips (talk) 22:56, 21 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, but Babenhausen doesn't seem to be a stub any longer. :-) --Mercy (talk) 09:03, 22 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Block this IP address[change source]

This is the shared IP address of a school network, and it is extremely likely that the Wiki will gain nothing but vandalism from it as, indeed, the English Wikipedia already has. To save you the trouble of continually reverting the IP's work and leaving warnings/notices of reversion on its userpage, I recommend that you just block this IP address now. If this is against Wikipedia guidelines, I apologise, but if it will help, consider this a request for a block. Thanks for your time. 212.219.247.229 (talk) 10:48, 1 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, thank you for your message. I don't think it is necessary to block your IP address as there are hardly any recent contributions from it. In case there's any vandalism from your IP address, it will be blocked. Have a nice day! --Mercy (talk) 11:37, 1 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Request for flood permission[change source]

Hello, please could you grant me the flood permission for a short while? I'm adding attribution to the talkpages of some articles, and there are probably close to 50, so don't want to swamp the recent changes. Regards, --Belovedfreak (talk) 12:14, 12 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, don't know if I'm supposed to let you know that I'm done, but - I'm done! Don't need the flood permission any more, thanks. --Belovedfreak (talk) 13:35, 12 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Mercy, first of all, thanks for the talk page revert. =) Secondly, can you translate (I really just need the general idea, not word for word) the material in the red box on this page: http://cs.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kusek_Karolina for me? Thanks!  — laurynashby 07:18, 16 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, you're welcome. :) The red box says this article needs to be improved in a significant manner so that it fulfils the Czech Wikipedia's quality quidelines. Otherwise it will be deleted after May 14. --Mercy (talk) 07:28, 16 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, okay, so it's similar to a "prod" on en.wikipedia? That makes sense, I was thinking it might be a speedy deletion tag, but wasn't sure. Thanks again for your help. =)  — laurynashby 07:30, 16 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yep, it's the same. --Mercy (talk) 07:32, 16 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Uh, why would you do that?[change source]

Regarding Manatee Palms, I simplified the article. You are quite rude. Tkfy7cf (talk) 09:25, 11 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your message, but I don't think so. Most sentences were still the same as in the English Wikipedia. Please make the text of the article more simple. You can find some hints how to write in Simple English on this page. If you want, I can restore the page so that you can continue your work. Best regards, --Mercy (talk) 09:32, 11 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'd appreciate it if you could restore the page so I can edit it, but I'd encourage you to actually read the article to verify its simplicity. Thanks Mercy. Please live up to your screen name :P Tkfy7cf (talk) 09:35, 11 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
So you know, there has been a lot of discussion on English Wikipedia about the POV problems in this article. I put {{NPOV}} on the article here, with an explanation on the talk page pointing back to that discussion. That seemed to make sense, since that's where the article came from. I justed wanted to be sure editors here knew about the problems. I'm not normally on Simple English Wikipedia, so if you need to reach me, en:User talk:Cmadler is the best place. Thanks, Cmadler (talk) 13:51, 14 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, please try having a look at your user contributions. The test made from your IP address can be seen here. Regards, --Mercy (talk) 09:45, 26 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

POV?? Really?? The American beer is most certainly the primary topic. Plus, it's a two-pronged disambiguation, which means it needs to redirect to the more common of the two, per EN:WP:DISAM Purplebackpack89 17:35, 7 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Since you undid my BOLD move, I've RM requested it. There's very little case against the American lager being the primary topic Purplebackpack89 06:27, 8 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it's your US-centric point of view. I don't consider the American beer to be primary topic of that name. Moreover, in dozens of European countries they've never heard of American beer as opposed to the Czech beer. Please get yourself familiarized about the topic first. Thanks. --Mercy (talk) 07:03, 8 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your view is far too Euro-centric, likely untrue (Budweiser is sold in almost every country), not borne about by article traffic (the American beer is far more trafficked in most languages than the Czech one), and perhaps a COI (I note that you created the Czech beer article yourself). The facts are clearly on my side in this one, but if you disagree, you should comment on the move request, not here. Purplebackpack89 17:29, 8 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your reply, however, your assumptions are totally wrong. If I were pushing a Euro-centric point of view, I would move Budweiser Budvar to Budweiser. Consider assuming good faith. Thanks. --Mercy (talk) 10:06, 12 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
