Welcome to My Talk Page

Hello, Muddyb Blast Producer, and welcome to the Simple English Wikipedia! I hope you will be happy helping here. You should begin by reading these pages: Wikipedia:Useful, Help:Contents, Wikipedia:Policies and guidelines, and how to write Simple English articles. If you want some ideas of which pages to work on, read Wikipedia:Requested articles or the list of wanted pages.

Even though it is a good idea to research an article (like looking at the discussion page) before making large changes, please be bold and try! Any changes you make that are not perfect can be fixed later. We are also working most on core articles and the most common topics until this Wikipedia grows.

If you want to ask a question or talk with other members, you can visit our version of the "village pump" at Wikipedia:Simple talk. Administrators on Wikipedia can also help you with more difficult problems. You can also ask me for help. The best way to do that is to leave a message on my talk page. You should always sign your messages on Talk pages by typing "~~~~" (four tildes) at the end of your words.

If you would like to test Wikipedia, please use the sandbox. Please do not test Wikipedia by editing its articles.

Good luck and happy editing!--Eptalon (talk) 09:29, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

Deletion of Template:User User Dar Es Salaam[change source]

in the deletion log I marked user request, so I guess the resp. user requested it (for example by blanking). If you have a use for that template, it can be restored; it would however need to be moved to your user space. --Eptalon (talk) 09:29, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

In general, I leave user-created templates (in user-space) alone. That case was just that the user requested for it to be deleted. So go ahead and create it. --Eptalon (talk) 11:29, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
Sorry if I was not clear. What I tried to say was: If you make that template again, I will not delete it. I will delete the template only if you say I should delete it. --Eptalon (talk) 13:07, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

Uploading images[change source]

Thank you for uploading images to Simple English Wikipedia. Unfortunately, images are not aloud to be uploaded directly to the Simple English Wikipedia, and any images uploaded here will be deleted. Please upload any images you want to upload to the Commons. When you upload images to the Commons, you can use them here. Thanks. Lights (talk) § 12:48, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

Help[change source]

Hello there! If you would like any help, I am available most of the time. You can contact me on my talk page if you have any questions. I wish you the best of luck here on the Simple English Wikipedia! Razorflame 14:00, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

Your English[change source]

Hello, Muddyb Blast Producer. As you will known from the other Wikipedia, there is usually not just one person writing a specific article. There is one person who starts the article, then many people change it; they contribute (add) what they know. In that way, Simple English Wikipedia is the same as other Wikipedias. To be able to work with this wikipedia, it is therefore not important what your English is like. This is still a Small Wikipedia. We need all the help we can get, especially from people outside of Europe and the US.

In short, do not be afraid to add things, because you think your English is bad. It is important that you write about those subjects that are of interest to you. Fixing the language to look better is a small thing to do, and can be done later.

So, please do not stop contributing here because you think your English is bad. You do not what to know what my Swahili is like. :) --Eptalon (talk) 14:02, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

I also agree with Eptalon. This Wikipedia is specifically made for people like you, who have trouble speaking English. You are more than welcome to continue contributing here. If you need anything, you can always ask me on my talk page. I hope to see you contributing in the future! Razorflame 14:16, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

Shemale[change source]

Yes, I deleted that article (did not make sense/was vandalism); go ahead and make a new one; hopefully it will be better (And no, I won't delete that). Many articles are deleted the first time, because they are hoaxes/vandalism/tests. Only on the second (or perhaps even more) attempt does the actual article get created. --Eptalon (talk) 16:09, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

Permission[change source]

For future reference, you don't need to get permission to recreate a deleted article. Razorflame 16:58, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

Shemale[change source]

I have already changed the category for shemale and added some links. Congratulations on your first new article. --Bärliner 12:20, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

About categories[change source]

Hello, if you do not know in what category to put an article, add the {{uncat}}. All articles with that template are in a special category. That way, a later editor can add a good category. Thanks. --Eptalon (talk) 12:55, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

Here[change source]

Here's the code for the userbox. You need to change the day and the month to reflect the day that you joined the Simple English Wikipedia before putting it onto your userpage:
Noia 64 apps karm.png This user has been on Simple Wikipedia for
12 years,  1 month and 6 days.

User since userbox[change source]

I've added this userbox to your userpage. It has the correct dates in it and everything. Razorflame 17:42, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

Signature[change source]

Razorflame told me you wanted me to make you a new signaure, but you'll have to tell me this information first:

  • Colour(s)
  • Gradients or plain text
  • Font if you want a different font
  • Background colour if you want a background
  • Links

Here ya go:

RecorDprodUceR (talk)

When entering the code here, remember to check off the Raw signature checkbox otherwise it won't work. Cheers, Lights § talk 13:06, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

The background is still the same, it might look different with the white font. If you still don't want the black font, here's some different font colours:

test3 in User_talk:Razorflame[change source]

Please do not remove content from pages, as you did on User_talk:Razorflame. This is vandalism. If you want to try things out, please use the sandbox. Thanks. -- Bärliner 10:03, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

Thanks. Eventhough I don't know who wrote this anymore..--RecorDprodUceR (talk) 06:08, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

Critically acclaimed[change source]

Hello, yes I am here (-;. In my poinion, critically acclaimed means that a group of people (called critics) went there, saw the performance (as in: a theatre performance, or a film in the cinema), and that they found it good. see for the meaning of acclaimed.--Eptalon (talk) 15:18, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

Re:Checkuser[change source]

A checkuser is a user who is able to see all the accounts registered to an IP address, or all of the IP addresses a certain account uses. This position is regulated quite strictly, as it is close to an invasion of privacy. You have to be 18 years of age or older and you have to be an administrator on the Wikipedia that you would like checkuser permissions on. Furthermore, you have to have at least 25 support votes and at least 70% support. Hopes this helps. Razorflame 22:00, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

Userboxes[change source]

We as a community have decided that users who want to use userboxes should keep them inside their respective namespaces and not have them in the template or main articlespaces. Please move the userbox that you have just created from the template namespace to your own userspace. Thanks, Razorflame 16:30, 2 April 2008 (UTC)

Vote striking[change source]

In reply to your comment on Eptalon's talk page, he struck your vote, not because of sockpuppettry, but because of low activity. We are currently discussing the matter of your vote and the votes of several other people. You should not feel that your opinion is not allowed. Your opinion is as important as the opinion of everyone else and should be taken into account just the same as other people's opinions. -- Creol(talk) 07:24, 23 August 2008 (UTC)

Hello, I am a new bureaucrat, this is the first RfA I close. The idea behind the "vote-striking" is to get rid of those accounts who clearly only came here to vote; your account has a "low activity", nevertheless you edit here regularly. I therefore unstruck you vote, It will fully count as a support vote. I am sorry for the inconvenience I caused. --Eptalon (talk) 09:04, 23 August 2008 (UTC)

DOB[change source]

Are you sure you have your date of birth correct? April 25 1725, that makes you, what 285 283 years old? :D Kennedy (talk) 08:41, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

Hello, Kennedy. Of course yes, I do have such an age (kidding). I was born April 25 in the year of 1983 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania!! But I made it intetionally. And the age is nothing to me, cause when I say, the number of my age is this, there's nothing I'm goint to get, and when I'm not saying anything about my age, also there's nothing I'm going to get!! Means both useless (BIG SMILE). But how things goes? In my side, it's okay!! Cheers,--Mitaa ya Cut RekOrds (talk) 09:04, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
I did think you were kidding ;) Happy editing! Kennedy (talk) 09:24, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
Relegation (link) in sport, is where a team moves down a league. Take the English football leagues, the team who finishes last is "relegated" to the Championship. Do you understand now? I can try to explain it more if you need... Kennedy (talk) 10:19, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
It is no problem, you are not bothering me :) Also, your English is OK, I can understand what you are saying, so not a problem. If you need any help, or want to ask me any questions, feel free. Regards, Kennedy (talk) 10:53, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

Afro-Asian[change source]

Hello, I have tried to make it more simple. It was only a quick try, so anything you don't understand, let me know and I will try harder :) Kennedy (talk) 09:34, 13 November 2008 (UTC)

Thank you! It is no problem, any time :) If there is anything you do not understand in the Afro-Asian article, or any other article, let me know and I will try to help. Regards, Grant Kennedy (talk) 14:04, 13 November 2008 (UTC)

White supremacy[change source]

Hello Muddyb! Sorry about the delay. I have made a start on the article, I don't have much time at the moment to write a full article, so have a look through, and if you get stuck, let me know and I will try to clarify more. Regards, Kennedy (talk) 15:12, 27 November 2008 (UTC)

Reply to your message on my talk page[change source]

Hi - we have not talked before but - in reply to your message on my talk page...

I will stay active elsewhere on wikipedia - just not here at Simple English.

I am not greedy for admin tools - I did not ask for the tools but I accepted the nomination.

In opposing my RfA people have shown they do not like my edits. They have not said how I will make bad use of the tools. I will not stay where people do not think my contributions are useful.

Regards --Matilda (talk) 23:34, 30 November 2008 (UTC)
