This is because the articles were in redundant categories. For example, the article Brain was already in Category:Brain, which is under Category:Nervous system, which is under Category:Neuroscience. If an article is under Category:Brain or Category:Nervous system, it doesn't need to be in Category:Neuroscience as well. Hi, Randykitty. Maybe no one has mentioned this to you, but we prefer to welcome users only after we see that they're making good contributions here. • No, no one mentioned this. I'll stop doing this. Many of the "welcome" templates that I recently placed were to accounts without any edit and quite a few to some that had made doubtful edits. My experience at enWP has been that welcoming users, even if they have made an unhelpful edit, often has a beneficial effect and in many cases, they subsequently turn out to be constructive editors. To me, spending a few seconds to add a welcome template to new user's talk page falls under "it does no harm but may do good". Help request

Hello there. I need an English admin's help, I'll try to ask you. I'm an Italian registered user, Janik98, and there's an Italian troll who's harrassing me. In Italian Wikipedia he's already been blocked and the situation is under control, but he's stalking me in other language editions and that's why I'm writing here without logging in. In English Wikipedia he registered with a name similar to mine and wrote me this: [1]. It's a message where he says bad things to me and tries to scare me. An Italian admin had rollbacked his edit, but the message is still visible in the edit history. Would you be so kind to change the visibility of his edit so that it's hidden? • In case you want to keep something confidential, you email an admin or oversight. All admins are supposed to have email enabled. Contacting them on another wiki is simply weird.

• Actually, Cohaf, their concerns about the edit on enWP were not unfounded, it was just weird that they came here to contact me about it (and just now also on the Italian WP...) Hello Randykitty. I've noticed just now what happened in your talk page and I'd like to give you an explaination. I wasn't the same person who vandalised this discussion a few hours after my last edit, this happened because I made a mistake: in order not to be noticed by the troll, I didn't use my usual IP address, the one I'm using now and you can check, but a proxy server. Unluckily the same proxy was found and used short after by a noted long-term abuser, Wikinger, who enjoys himself creating confusion without any real aim but raging users. He saw his IP address was used here, so he pretended to be me and accused a global admin in place of the troll I told you about. I'm very, very sorry for being the cause of such a problem, I shouldn't have used a proxy server, if I hadn't this wouldn't have happened. I apologise.
