Talk page messages[change source]

Whe you revert vandalism -- which is certainly helpful to us -- please leave an appropriate message on that user's talk page. Our messages are found on WP:User talk page warnings. Thank you. Macdonald-ross (talk) 07:36, 9 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Reise Reise. When you add a comment to someone's talk page, please remember to sign your comments ( ~~~~ ). It causes registered users some inconvenience in having to check the page history to see who wrote a comment and can confuse IP users who may not yet know where to look. Also, it's a policy. Thanks User:Rus793 (talk) 21:05, 24 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

December 2016[change source]

Hello, Reise Reise. When you revert a user's changes, like you did earlier, don't forget to leave the user a message on their talk page. You may find Template:User talk page warnings/table useful when doing this, to let them know that the change was considered inappropriate, and to direct them to the sandbox. Thank you. An automatic notice is not a warning. User warnings are added to the user's talk page progressively starting with level 1 for a first offense. Often the warnings alone will persuade users to quit vandalizing pages. In this case I added the warning for you. Rus793 (talk) 14:40, 12 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Elizabeth Báthory/Erzsébet Báthory suggested merge[change source]

You suggested merging these two articles but you didn't offer any discussion. They are clearly about the same person (nice catch) but I don't see Erzsébet Báthory as having a lot to offer other than redirecting the name. It is poorly sourced, based on fictionalized accounts and violates NPOV. If you agree I'll go ahead with the redirect to Elizabeth Báthory. Thanks Rus793 (talk) 14:54, 1 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

When I noticed that both are about the same person I just wanted to mark them as duplicates, so the issue wouldn't be overlooked (should have used the date parameter though). I didn't checked the articles in depth. Otherwise I would have used the "move from/to" templates or created the redirect myself. But indeed the new article is better than the old one. The only relevant information that should be included from the old article is the sentence mentioning the movie about her. So (as you have already been active in the new article) please move on.-- Reise Reise (talk) 16:19, 1 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I'll save the statement and find a source citation. Thanks Rus793 (talk) 17:09, 1 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
