Hi! This is not vandalism. Everyone can listen if for example "eye" is a real palindrome. It should be written "ai" - and it's not a palindrome anymore. Have You heard of phonemic writing? Latin was much more phonemic than English, but the French-speaking rulers of England "developed" the writing system about 2000 years backwards. "Adam" and "Eden" were words before there was English language, "Madam" is French. Study the linguistic books, I don't need the Sandbox! --Risto hot sir (talk) 17:24, 19 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • The phonematic palindromes are the best palindromes, palindromes both written and spoken. Tape the English examples and play them backwards, so You will hear which ones You can understand! And the palindromes can be poetic with a lot of meaning, like this Alivaltiosihteeri's masterpiece: "Aivot avaavat ovia" ("Brains open doors"). Any questions? --Risto hot sir (talk) 19:52, 19 October 2016 (UTC) The first palindromes (Greek and Latin, like "Sator...") were phonemic. It's very hard to understand the Finnish writing in the 16th century, but after that wise men decided that every phone should be written as one letter only. That's why the spelling contests I've seen in Peanuts and South Park would be ridiculous in Finland. When we hear a new word, we already know how it will be written. A simple question: why do You write /ai/ both as "I" and "eye" - what's the logic? --Risto hot sir (talk) 09:45, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Question[change source]

It appears as though you only edit here to update your edit counts periodically. Why? Vermont (talk) 14:20, 29 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Why not?--Risto hot sir (talk) 17:12, 29 April 2019 (UTC) - Updates should be made periodically. If I would want many edits it's easiest to do at en-Wikiquote.--Risto hot sir (talk) 22:31, 2 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

In regard to your addition of images with a very complex captions[change source]

Please be sure that the captions are simplified. If you would like help in doing so, we have a nice article on it at WP:HOW. Please contact me on my talk page if there's any questions. Thanks, Vermont (talk) 22:26, 2 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Again, please do not add images with very complex captions. See WP:HOW for help in simplifying them. Vermont (talk) 15:03, 6 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, you learn by doing, and I've learned that images of abstract subjects like "Life" and "Death" is not wise to be placed to foreign wikis, 'though all the pictures are at the English sites. Today I added images of gold where there was no pictures. That should be OK.--Risto hot sir (talk) 16:48, 6 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Please don't add complex captions. You did so again just a few minutes ago. Vermont (talk) 12:33, 8 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

It's a fine image from en-Wq.--Risto hot sir (talk) 14:53, 8 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Risto, that justification is almost meaningless. You're expected to follow the guidelines of the wiki you're editing, so please refrain from adding complex captions, or what has happened in several wikis over the past few weeks will happen again here. Hiàn (talk) 15:26, 8 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
OK, but I've edited more than 370 wikis, and only some of them are reverting automats (usually by the same editors). The number of reverts has decreased to 1% while I've learned the strange guidelines of 'em. In my opinion the English wikis should be examples to follow.--Risto hot sir (talk) 15:44, 8 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
You are expected to know and follow the guidelines of wikis you edit on, including this one. Refusal to do so will result in you being blocked from editing. Vermont (talk) 23:39, 8 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I don't trust you anymore. So is it possible that some other admin would evaluate my edits?--Risto hot sir (talk) 23:49, 8 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Feel free to bring up the issue on WP:AN. I simply requested, multiple times, that you cease simply copying over the complex captions from the English Wikiquote, which you ignored. Vermont (talk) 23:58, 8 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Polytheism image was thanked today. What's the matter with you? stay off me, please!--Risto hot sir (talk) 00:06, 9 June 2019 (UTC) - And the recent ones are from ENGLISH WIKIPEDIA.--Risto hot sir (talk) 00:08, 9 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Please stop adding images with captions like these. You have been blocked on several wikis for similar reasons and per WP:ONESTRIKE you can be blocked here too. This is your last warning, please stop doing so.--BRP ever 00:40, 9 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Farewell then.--Risto hot sir (talk) 00:42, 9 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

June 2019[change source]

You have been blocked indefinitely from changing Wikipedia in line with Wikipedia's blocking policy for disruptive editing, ignoring warnings, and WP:ONESTRIKE. If you think this block is unfair, you may ask to be unblocked by adding {{unblock|your reason here}} below. If you cannot do this or the reason is private, please send an e-mail to simple-admins-l@lists.wikimedia.org and an administrator will look at your reason and reply. You may want to read our guide to unblock requests before asking to be unblocked. Vermont (talk) 03:20, 11 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This blocked user asked to be unblocked, but one or more administrators said no to this unblock request. Other administrators can also review this block, but should not unblock the user without a good reason. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

your reason here This block is harmful to the project. I got the warning for adding an image with text - which exists at English Wikiquote. That was a mistake, I admit, but no reason for blocking. After the warning I haven't made disruptive contributions, and will not do in the future either. I've made over 80 000 useful edits at more than 370 wikis. There's no worry that I would do disruptive contributions here or elsewhere.--Risto hot sir (talk) 09:57, 14 June 2019 (UTC)

Decline reason:

You were warned multiple times. And per our onestrike policy, we don't require to warn at all when you are already blocked on another wikimedia wiki. As such you will remain blocked under onestrike until your blocks on the other wikis are cleared up. -- DJSasso (talk) 10:37, 14 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • This is simple English Wikipedia, adding complex captions defeats this purpose and hence, its disruptive. You have been blocked on 4 other wikis, and hence qualifies for ONESTRIKE as blocking reasons are similar. Do also note that Vermont warned you about this on meta:SN before. Adequate warnings given. If you want to add pictures here, please add without complex captions, promise this and the chances of unblock will be higher. I hope you dont persist further, or else a global ban/lock will be soon. thanks.--Cohaf (talk) 10:10, 14 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Due to myself making the original block, I will refrain from reviewing this unblock request. However, I will note his request includes a blatant lie. He received multiple warnings, all of which he saw and continued to ignore, adding complex captions dozens of times and requiring editors go clean up after his edits. (scroll up) That is disruptive. Even if he received no warnings, he'd be eligible for a block per WP:ONESTRIKE. The amount of warnings we gave was more than adequate. Also, Risto, please stop trying to cite your edit count and it's spread on wikis as a way to try and say you're a good editor. The two have no correlation whatsoever. Thank you, Vermont (talk) 10:34, 14 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
    • The last warning is the essential, and I've respected it. I also promise that I won't add complex captions anymore and I now understand that Simple Wikipedia is different from English Wikipedia. The worldwide amount of edits is a fact (I'm not claiming I'm a good editor, others can evaluate it) and shows that I'm not blocked at 375 wikis.--Risto hot sir (talk) 12:38, 14 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
If it takes you 6 warnings and an indefinite block to understand this wiki isn't the same as the English Wikipedia I doubt your ability to contribute here constructively. Vermont (talk) 13:09, 14 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Those 6 warnings led to the last warning, I think. No reason to doubt, I've learned my lesson.--Risto hot sir (talk) 13:18, 14 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
