Lol I am talking to myself.

rollback feature[change source]

You might want to consider using the rollback. It reverts edits made by certain editors. I notice you revert vandalism every chance you get. I'm just letting you know. Angela Maureen (talk) 09:34, 23 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@September 1988: Thank you: I will be applying for this shortly. --Rubbish computer (talk) 11:55, 23 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome message to me[change source]

An opinion...[change source]

Although we have many types of template flags, it is an interesting fact that they rarely change editors' behaviour. Consider the "no sources" flag. It's obvious at a singly glance that many of our short paragraph-long pages have no references. So what is gained by flagging them? These flags are better served when sources are most urgently needed, for example when there is a real doubt as to the credibility of the page. If a flag is put on all unsourced pages, the reader is trained to ignore them. Macdonald-ross (talk) 16:48, 15 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Macdonald-ross: That is a good point, and clearly one said with a great deal of experience. My intention was for the pages to be added to Category:Articles lacking sources, where willing editors could find sources for them. --Rubbish computer (talk) 17:16, 15 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Welcome![change source]

Hi rubbish! I know I look "new" because of the log--but I've actually had an account for a full year, it's just the synced login systems acting funny. I appreciate the gesture, though. Krett12 (talk) 18:45, 19 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Krett12: Okay. Rubbish computer (talk) 00:43, 20 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for understanding. Would you like me to teach you how to tell what wiki a user signed up on? Krett12 (talk) 01:44, 20 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Krett12: I've never thought about that before, but I would like to know. I have to go now, but will be back in the GMT morning. Rubbish computer (talk) 02:23, 20 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I signed up here. How do we confirm for sure? Start with what you do know. For example, why did you confuse me for a newbie? Because the synced login system "creates" your account when you make your first edit. Are there any clues that back that up? Well, I've set [https://simple.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special%3ALog&type=newusers&user=&page=Krett12&year=&month=-1&tagfilter=&hide_tag_log=1&hide_thanks_log=1
this page] to only show things about me, and only when users were created. Thus, it only shows my account creation. If you go there, you'll notice it says my account was created "automatically". Does it mean I'm a robot? No! It means I signed up on a different wiki.
Wait, did I just hear/say what I think I just hear/said?
(echoing It means I signed up on a different wiki. Well, now all we have to do is guess! I seem like I know what I'm doing, maybe I came from Wikipedia? (Lots of people do). Nope. Same thing. Hmm, based on this lecture, I seem like I know a lot of the technical aspects of MediaWiki? Maybe I signed up there? Bingo! It just says my account was "created". It's just a matter of guess-and-check, really. Krett12 (talk) 03:10, 20 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Krett12: Thanks for clarifying. Rubbish computer (talk) 10:51, 20 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Why are you requesting deletion of them? That's a YouTube channel look them up. --166.137.99.201 (talk) 12:04, 26 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The fact that they are a YouTube channel does not mean they need their own article-see WP:Notability-and I don't ssee why I should bother talking to somebody who says "Fuck you ass hole sevenFuntasticGirls" to me anyway. --Rubbish computer (HALP!: I dropped the bass?) 12:06, 26 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
which article says that? --170.185.83.19 (talk) 12:09, 26 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
It's been deleted now. --Rubbish computer (HALP!: I dropped the bass?) 12:24, 26 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
And the fact that several of the articles contained bad language or no content is proof that the editor was not acting in good faith to help build an encyclopedia. Macdonald-ross (talk) 13:29, 26 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Rollbacker[change source]

Apply on WP:Requests for permissions. There is no hard-and-fast rule, but you have over 1,000 edit changes, so it is reasonable to apply if you wish. Macdonald-ross (talk) 13:57, 26 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Macdonald-ross: I already have rollbacker rights. Do you mean patroller rights? --Rubbish computer (HALP!: I dropped the bass?) 14:05, 26 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, sorry, yes I do mean patroller. Macdonald-ross (talk) 14:11, 26 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Macdonald-ross: Okay, thanks. --Rubbish computer (HALP!: I dropped the bass?) 14:11, 26 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

New userbox[change source]

Hi, RC: I created a new userbox template you might like to use: {{User Simple Wiktionary}}. StevenJ81 (talk) 15:23, 29 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@StevenJ81: I've put it on my userpage. Thanks! --Rubbish computer (HALP!: I dropped the bass?) 16:59, 29 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

My edits.[change source]

Am I being a pain? sorry if i am i suffer from ocd and add among other things. I just love to add information. thats all. --DonLandry2 (talk) 20:31, 1 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@DonLandry2: Of course not: from what I've seen your edits are actually very helpful. There's nothing wrong with anything you're doing, and feel free to ask if you have any questions. Thanks, Rubbish computer (HALP!: I dropped the bass?) 00:14, 2 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ladino Wikipedia page[change source]

Hi, Rubbish. I'm glad to have you over at Judeo-Spanish (Ladino) Wikipedia. But is this all you're planning to do with your userpage? StevenJ81 (talk) (I'm an administrator there, amazingly enough.) 23:26, 15 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@StevenJ81: I'm not really sure: I can't help out much there because I don't speak the language, but I've done some minor work on wikis in other languages, like on the French one. Rubbish computer (HALP!: I dropped the bass?) 00:55, 16 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

combine[change source]

You should not link a general word to one specific usage, because it does not reflects the other legitimate uses. See wikt:combine. Actually, you could leave redirects till the page is more settled. "Harvester" also has several different uses. The page combine harvester itself is a very useful addition. Macdonald-ross (talk) 18:32, 19 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Macdonald-ross: Good point, when I saw it had been deleted I guessed that was why. I'm glad to hear the article was useful. --Rubbish computer (HALP!: I dropped the bass?) 18:33, 19 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

don't you get the pun?

Okay, but don't create pages as jokes here. --Rubbish computer (HALP!: I dropped the bass?) 03:54, 21 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

January 2016[change source]

Hello! Thank you for creating Category:Reality television competitions. However, we normally need at least three pages in a category before it is created. Because categories are a way to group together similar articles, there is no need to create a new category for just one or two articles. If you think there might be more pages to add to the new category, please add them now. Thank you. Auntof6 (talk) 19:30, 1 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Auntof6: Sorry about that, I've added some more now. Happy New Year. Rubbish computer (HALP!: I dropped the bass?) 19:49, 1 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Jeremy Corbyn[change source]

Hey Rubbish computer! As you can see I'm trying to fix up Jeremy Corbyn so that someday it could be a Good Article. Can you help check out the article if it make sense. I'm an American and I want to make sure I didn't screw anything up! Thanks! --TDKR Chicago 101 (talk) 22:44, 30 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@TDKR Chicago 101: It looks alright to me, but I think the "political views" section needs expansion. Thanks, Rubbish computer (HALP!: I dropped the bass?) 16:12, 1 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I'm seriously impressed at the immense speed of your corrections to the link I added as a joke. I respect the decision and I already was able to get a few laughs from classmates visiting this page for the assigned homework. I am a little surprised you didn't catch the talk tab revisions I made. Seeing as this article had no talk being used i pasted a meme in the empty space. Keep up the swift revisions Rubbish computer.

Thanks. --Rubbish computer (HALP!: I dropped the bass?) 00:59, 13 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

GrounderUK[change source]

Many thanks for the welcome. If there are any edits you dread having the time to get round to, please let me know! --GrounderUK (talk) 22:42, 3 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

GrounderUK You're welcome. Rubbish computer (Talk: Contribs) 22:44, 3 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Added patroller rights[change source]

Hello there, I gave you patroller rights; your edits here are very welcome, and don't need looking at by another person. Use the right wisely. All the best.--Eptalon (talk) 17:43, 12 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Eptalon, I appreciate that. Rubbish computer (Talk: Contribs) 17:43, 12 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Rubbish Computer. I was looking at some pages you patrolled. If you choose to patrol pages created by others, please fix issues that the pages have. Here are some that you patrolled that needed work:

  • Urdu Nazam: needed simplifying, copy editing, wikifying. Empty references section needed addressing (either by removing or by adding a reference). I also added a category.
  • Lawrence Rocks (chemist): needed simplifying, formatting titles, and a little copy editing
  • NGC 3021: needed a couple more links -- a minor issue, but quick and easy to fix.

To sum up, patrolling isn't just clicking on the link to mark a page as patrolled. You need to look at the page to see if anything needs to be done to it. The things I mentioned above are only a few of the things that might be needed. If you don't have time to take care of any issues there are or you don't want to take care of them, that's OK: just don't do the patrolling.

Pinging Eptalon because they gave you the patrol right. --Auntof6 (talk) 01:30, 19 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Auntof6, I'll make sure I'm more thorough in the future. Rubbish computer (Talk: Contribs) 01:32, 19 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

January 2019[change source]

Hello! Thank you for creating Category:1991 manga. However, we normally need at least three pages in a category before it is created. Because categories are a way to group together similar articles, there is no need to create a new category for just one or two articles. If you think there might be more pages to add to the new category, please add them now. Thank you. Auntof6 (talk) 06:56, 15 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism on Vermont TP[change source]

Hi, thanks for reverting. However, there's not a need to warn the users as they are LTA. If it's something on wheels or fuerdai. Those are globally locked already. Thanks for your reverts anyway. Best Regards,--Cohaf (talk) 14:26, 27 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

No problem Cohaf. Rubbish computer (Talk: Contribs) 14:28, 27 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
We are monitoring crosswiki very closely now. Regards,--Cohaf (talk) 14:37, 27 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Your QD request of Omnicron (film)[change source]

I deleted this article, but for a different reason than you specified. It didn't qualify for WP:QD#G4, because there is a good amount of information in the newer version that wasn't in the older version that was deleted by RFD. That new information didn't claim notability, though, so I deleted it under WP:QD#A4. --Auntof6 (talk) 17:48, 8 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

quick deletion notice[change source]

You requested quick deletion of Public naked. Why is that? The article redirects to the page public nudity. Angela Maureen (talk) 20:39, 24 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I denied the QD since it is contested. Please feel free to take this to RFD if you think deletion is required. Thanks--BRP ever 06:47, 25 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Tropical Storm Angela and BRPever, I thought it was an implausible typo, I'm okay to not take it to RfD as I don't think it's that important. I think the way it's typed is unlikely to be searched for. Rubbish computer (Talk: Contribs) 10:27, 25 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

User language categories[change source]

Buenos dias, Rubbish computer. I noticed that you have several hardcoded user language categories on your user page: User es-1, User en-N, and User en-GB. In case you didn't know, there are user boxes you can put on your page that tell people you speak those languages, and those templates add the categories for you. I think there are also templates for some of the other user categories you have. It's fine to add the categories manually, but I thought I'd mention the templates in case you didn't know about them. If you want more info, feel free to ask. --Auntof6 (talk) 22:34, 28 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Auntof6: Cheers. Rubbish computer (Talk: Contribs) 07:36, 29 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Careful tagging pages for deleting[change source]

Careful tagging articles for deletion. Make sure you check the page histories. Wikipedia:Email Help Team was a valid page that just had been overwritten. A quick check of the history would have shown this. (Also pinging @Macdonald-ross: who deleted.) -DJSasso (talk) 17:18, 16 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Djsasso, my apologies: cheers for letting me know. Rubbish computer (Talk: Contribs) 16:07, 17 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
