Hello, Highspeedrailguy, and welcome to the Simple English Wikipedia!

You may want to begin by reading these pages :

For some ideas of pages to work on, read Wikipedia:Requested articles or the list of wanted pages.

You can change any pages you want! Any changes you make can be seen immediately. You can ask questions at Wikipedia:Simple talk. At the end of your messages on talk pages, please sign your name by typing "~~~~" (four tildes)

Good luck and happy changing! Kansan (talk) 18:42, 2 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Phew! I thought I was edit warring (3RR, you know...) --Highspeedrailguy (talk) 18:43, 2 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

What was the point...[change source]

of this? Adding a statement with a citation needed tag makes no sense. If you know the record was passed, cite the source you heard it from. If not, don't add it. PrincessofLlyr talk 18:14, 4 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Also, please note that Simple has a one-strike rule regarding blocked/banned users from other wikis, meaning that you will be under very close scrutiny. PrincessofLlyr talk 18:23, 4 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Unreliable refs[change source]

Please do not insert unreliably sourced content into LOL, as you did here. Those Google definitions are all taken from Wikipedia and Wiktionary, which cannot be used to source Wikipedia articles. I will find a more reliable reference. Thanks, Goodvac (talk) 23:25, 4 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

So there's still WP:RS here... --Highspeedrailguy (talk) 12:50, 5 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, RS exists on all Wikipedias. Without this policy, people would hold even less credence in Wikipedia articles than the little amount they do now. Goodvac (talk) 20:10, 5 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Additional accounts[change source]

Due to your history and blocks elsewhere you are hereby restricted to using this one account for all you edits at simplewiki. I have found abd blocked indef two account via checkuser. Take a look at the one-strike rule, it applies to you! Have a nice day :) fr33kman 07:57, 9 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I had a scary night, so I'm probably not going to do it now. Two tornados struck a few miles away, and I'm fetching around with homework and stuff. --Highspeedrailguy (talk) 15:48, 24 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Oh. I'm sorry, I live in the middle of the Pacific Ocean and I've experienced a tropical depression and two tsunamis. Also on a vacation to the big island i saw a volcano emitting Sulfur Dioxide. Yech. Exciting but scary. Oh, and I replied. Click "Hey, let's Collaborate!" to head to my talk page. Loudclaw/Hey, let's collaborate!/Desk/WP:Warriors/My changes 21:03, 24 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry you're offended. I've been offended loads of times. Loudclaw/Hey, let's collaborate!/Desk/WP:Warriors/My changes 21:04, 24 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
No, it's not that I'm offended by your comments, it's someone else's comments. --Highspeedrailguy (talk) 13:13, 25 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
That's what I meant. But you don't have to take a wikibreak. Just ignore them. I'll teach them a lesson once they go insult ME! Hey, I'm waiting to contact DemiUrge1000. How about we write articles on WP:Warriors? Loudclaw/Hey, let's collaborate!/Desk/WP:Warriors/My changes 04:50, 27 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not a big enthusiast of Warriors; but I'm willing to help. I'm more likely to be working on railroad-related articles. --Highspeedrailguy (talk) 14:50, 27 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Uh, ok. I could have been your mentor if you'd wanted. I'm not trusted by everyone but most do trust me. I even have a help desk. Loudclaw/Hey, let's collaborate!/Desk/WP:Warriors/My changes 00:17, 28 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Warriors[change source]

Excuse me but I want my page the way it was. Please! Loudclaw/Hey, let's collaborate!/Desk/WP:Warriors/My changes 19:50, 4 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Explanation[change source]

My declining of the R700 quick deletion wasn't anything against you; it was just because I thought I could improve the page instead of deleting it. Keep up the good work! Kansan (talk) 18:17, 5 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Cheery reminder[change source]

μ 21:03, Tuesday April 5 2011 (UTC)

Hey there. Would you be willing to limit the repeating characters in edit summaries? It's stretching the page for me and making RC a little difficult to look at. Keep using edit summaries, but I do ask you just downsize a little. Thanks! :) --Gordonrox24 | Talk 21:38, 5 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I was testing to see if the twinkle box would limit the number of characters. Apparently not, they should fix that. --SEPTActaMTA8235 (talk) 21:52, 5 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The limit, if I recall correctly, is currently 255 bytes (equivalent to 255 ASCII characters, but less in other writing systems. As for the testing, please don't do that. — μ 23:18, Tuesday April 5 2011 (UTC)

Non-admin closures[change source]

Please do not closure RFDs like you did at Wikipedia:Requests for deletion/Requests/2011/List of ThunderClan characters. Non-admin closures are reserved only for non-controversial, unanimous keeps after a full week has passed. It is not to be used in controversial decisions such as the one you made here. Either way (talk) 00:56, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Especially don't do it after you already !voted in the discussion! I would encourage you to undo the closure. Gfoley Four 04:40, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Reverted. --SEPTActaMTA8235 (talk) 11:40, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

[1] is not helpful. Ok, you've reverted your close which is a good move, but the language is unacceptable. Please refrain. Goblin 11:41, 6 April 2011 (UTC) I ♥ Jersey![reply]

[2] is also as equally unhelpful. If you're going to use edit summaries, please take them seriously and don't mess around with them. I note you've already been warned for doing something similar above. Goblin 11:49, 6 April 2011 (UTC) I ♥ Yottie![reply]

Warnings[change source]

Howdy, after giving a final warning and reporting the user to WP:VIP there is no need to keep on issuing further warnings to the same vandal that say the same thing - if they haven't got the idea to stop yet then they probably won't, and it just clogs up the page unnecessarily. Thanks, Goblin 13:44, 6 April 2011 (UTC) I ♥ Yottie![reply]

You mean en:WP:DENY? --SEPTActaMTA8235 (talk) 13:45, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Or just plain clogging up the page? --SEPTActaMTA8235 (talk) 13:46, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I mean what I said - plain clogging up the page. Four or five "final warnings" saying exactly the same thing ("This is your last warning", etc.) is of no use nor ornament and just clogs up space and adds nothing further. Goblin 13:48, 6 April 2011 (UTC) I ♥ Yottie![reply]

Use of revert should only be used for vandalism. Where an edit has been made in good faith, eg. the Aztec edit, please use "undo". Even if they manage to accidently delete the cross wiki links! --Peterdownunder (talk) 11:57, 7 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It's generally considered bad form to "pounce" on a page that someone else is/was editing within seconds of the original edit made and is better to give people time to fix it - especially something as trivial as that. I was already in the process of fixing it and making a couple of other fixes to the nomination but then edit conflicted. Don't be so trigger happy. Please preview[change source]

Please use preview for your edits more frequently. You are making a lot of small edits/fixes that can all be made in one edit rather than several small ones. These edits flood recent change and are unnecessary. Thank you, Either way (talk) 13:13, 16 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

And please stop with pointless changes like Today's date. Either way (talk) 15:02, 16 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

List of US cities[change source]

I have reverted your edits to the list of US cities by population article. Everything you added was a copy and paste from the English Wikipedia's article. You did not give that article credit. You also did not put it into Simple English. Please be sure to follow the guidelines for writing Simple English articles in the future. Either way (talk) 13:29, 16 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

But then (the table, only the table) is out of date. --SEPTActaMTA8235 11:40, 17 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Then add the information in appropriately. The way you did violates our copyright policy by not giving credit to the English Wikipedia. It also was not simplified. Either way (talk) 14:25, 17 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Unnecessary[change source]

Change comments such as this are completely and totally unnecessary. Please be aware that you are getting dangerously close to a block for project disruption. You are making pointless edits, even when warned to stop. You are using inappropriate and aggressive comments. You are not following copyright guidelines or writing in Simple English. All of this can and will result in a block if it keeps up. Thank you, Either way (talk) 14:24, 17 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Could you...[change source]

please hold off on touching articles that are clearly being worked on. In otherwords don't jump on an article right as soon as it would made. There is a reason it wasn't an endash. What about WP:MOS#Dashes then? --—SEPTActaMTA8235— (t c l) 14:16, 25 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It was copied straight from en.wiki. Which is why I have a redirect from the endash version just incase. Either way, the point was more that you shouldn't jump on article as soon as they are created. It is considered polite to give the author time to work on the article they are creating. -DJSasso (talk) 14:20, 25 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

On sockpuppetry accusations[change source]

It is inappropriate to directly accuse a user of sockpuppetry without providing any evidence. The way to handle these situations is to file a Request for Checkuser. Kansan (talk) 14:22, 25 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Final warning[change source]

Please take this as a final warning for your disruptive editing. You have been warned by numerous editors about things such as flooding recent changes, jumping on other's edits, and unfounded accusations of sockpuppetry. I will further say that you should not be removing users from AIV like this. Only admins should be deciding there, and you provided no reason for why you did. So, again, this is your final warning for project disruption. If you continue with these actions and others find a need to warn you for your actions, you will be blocked. Either way (talk) 14:27, 25 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

As for this, the user was blocked. For flooding RC, I often look back, save so I don't editconflict. --—SEPTActaMTA8235— (t c l) 14:47, 25 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  2. Also, both users don't use question marks when there should be (though this evidence might seem strange); they use periods. Is there a tool or something., "Sven, is someone feeling a little cranky today. --—SEPTActaMTA8235— (t c l) 14:54, 25 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  5. They also both edit in areas related to law enforcement. --—SEPTActaMTA8235— (t c l) 15:01, 25 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  6. Gaming the system: [14]
  7. The last revision of the en.wiki SunCountryGuy01 userpage (now deleted) and the current MauchoEagle userpage look very similar. --—SEPTActaMTA8235— (t c l) 15:08, 25 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If you accidentally place the article attribution for a page onto the mainspace rather than the talk page, please don't just ask for speedy deletion of it, as you did with Westerfield railway station, and instead just create the page over the top of it. It is a waste of time to then re-create a page with content, and it makes no harm in having the revision in the history. Furthermore, the attribution will still 'count' if it is pasted over, and will not need to be re-created, as the link is still present in the article history. Imo, this is actually a better method than using the talk page, but different people have different preferences. Thanks, Goblin 15:25, 1 May 2011 (UTC) I ♥ Belinda![reply]

Hello, SEPTActaMTA8235! Here at Simple English Wikipedia we use the section heading "Other websites" instead of English Wikipedia's "External links", which you used in "Westerfield railway station". Hi there SEPTActaMTA8235,

I noticed you nominated an article for Translation of the Week. Can I ask you a favor? Please try voting (for or against) some of the other candidates. Some of them are not really good for translations into Simple English, but some are great for Simple. Very few people vote, so if editors from Simple vote with this wiki in mind, we can get some good articles for us to work on up to the top.

Just an idea...

I imported a script this morning; I used it, tried to fix a ref using that script, but it renames some of the refs for some reason, so I self-reverted using the same script mentioned earlier. --—SEPTActaMTA8235— (t c l) 18:10, 3 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Fine, but do be careful in the future. You, personally, are responsible for every edit your account makes, by what ever means. fr33kman 18:28, 3 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Invalid use of rollback[change source]

I notice you used, what appears to be, rollback here. This is invalid as all the IP did was remove vandalism and you reverted him. Please be more careful. Thanks, chrisianrocker90 21:50, 4 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback[change source]

I saw you have been warned twice in two days now, and have used rollback unnecessarily here, here and here. Fr33kman warned you to ONLY use rollback to revert blatant vandalism! and said that Further errors will see it removed. Therefore I am removing your rollback rights. You will still be able to revert vandalism using the undo button and will be able to ask for your rollback rights back eventually. Regards, Yottie =talk= 22:24, 4 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry it has come to this. SEPTA. You're a good vandal fighter, but rollback isn't the undo button. I hope you get a second chance with it soon. chrisianrocker90 21:52, 5 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Controversial move[change source]

Please don't move pages unless you are absolutely sure it won't be controversial. If you think it might please initiate a discussion to gain consensus. As such, I have undone your move of Template:Infobox settlement to Template:Infobox commune as there are more to settlements than communes. If you still disagree, please initiate a discussion on the talk page. Thanks, chrisianrocker90 23:33, 5 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback gone[change source]

This was not VANDALISM. Do you understand the terms "blatant" & "vandalism"? I'm not certain you do so rollback has removed from your account. Now with misuse you told an editor (and former) admin and I can see no need for the rollback. And stunningly you add vandalism into an article using rollback1 You need more practice, and you'll need to be using undo for a while yet. !! fr33kman 14:37, 7 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Talk page...[change source]

It is not my normal style to tell others how to manage the userspace, but I hard a very difficult time reading your talk page. I had to turn on my accessibility features... and I don't use those. Please consider another format, or leave disabled. Thank you kindly, Jon@talk:~$ 02:51, 8 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Warning IPs[change source]

I believe that there is no point in giving so many final warnings to IPs, especially after they were blocked. It unnecessarily floods Recent Changes, and if a person does not stop vandalizing after 5/6 warnings, it is unlikely that they will. (refer to this) Cheers, NotImportant (talk) 13:57, 9 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

uncalled for[change source]

This was completely uncalled for. Please remember to be civil and not bite the newcomers even if they are vandalizing IPs. You should know better. chrisianrocker90 19:08, 9 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
