Hello, Siliconov, and welcome to the Simple English Wikipedia! I hope you will be happy helping here. You should begin by reading these pages: Wikipedia:Useful, Help:Contents, Wikipedia:Policies and guidelines, and how to write Simple English articles. If you want some ideas of which pages to work on, read Wikipedia:Requested articles or the list of wanted pages.

Even though it is a good idea to research an article (like looking at the discussion page) before making large changes, please be bold and try! Any changes you make that are not perfect can be fixed later. We are also working most on core articles and the most common topics until this Wikipedia grows.

If you want to ask a question or talk with other members, you can visit our version of the "village pump" at Wikipedia:Simple talk. Administrators on Wikipedia can also help you with more difficult problems. You can also ask me for help. The best way to do that is to leave a message on my talk page. You should always sign your messages on Talk pages by typing "~~~~" (four tildes) at the end of your words.

Good luck and happy editing!

I moved your greetings from here to your Userpage as that is where most people would be looking for something like that. Talk pages can get full quickly and that greeting would get lost on this page.

I also tagged your changes to the USB article as unsimple. There is a lot of things in there that may be difficult for some people to understand. The article linked above about writing Simple Enlish pages may help in simplifying the article some.

Do not recreate deleted pages, and stop trying to turn wikipedia into yet another pornography forum, because that is going to be treated as vandalism if it continues. Blockinblox - talk 16:02, 15 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Warning vandals[change source]

Warning vandals hours after they have vandalised a page is sometimes pointless; many ISPs use dynamic IPs so when a user disconnect and then reconnect to the Internet, they are assigned a new IP address and any messages left on their previous IP's talk page won't be received by them. Tamahagane[change source]

Great job on tamahagane! You added much more information than is available on the English Wikipedia page. I noticed that you forgot to add your sources, though. I helped out with the wording and organization but I don't know where you got your info so I couldn't add that. Sources make all the difference between a good and a great article. Thanks and keep up the good work! Tygartl1 17:17, 8 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Japanese sword schools[change source]

I much enjoyed reading about Japanese sword schools. Well done. It's a pretty new topic to me. I have made changes to a few of your sentences to make them easier to read, including some simplifications. We try to keep to the vocabulary as simple as possible here. You might just like to check what I did to the last sentence in the paragraph starting with "Nagayoshi". It was not clear from what you wrote whether it was Nagayoshi or the Soshu school who used higher temperatures. I took it that you meant Nagayoshi and changed the sentence accordingly, but if I misunderstood you might need to rewrite that bit. Adding an image would improve your article. Maybe you can find a relevant one on Wikimedia Commons or from a related article on another Wiki language site? Hikitsurisan 15:56, 25 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
