Selected articles[change source]

I deleted Main Page/Article 17 which you recently created. We only use 13 subpages for main page now (1-13) and they seem to be enough (the next good number is 26, but 13 is enough). I deleted that page, to prevent future confusion. I'm keeping the contents of it on User:Huji/Temp for now. I will later move it to the appropriate subpage of main page. Thank you so much Snake311, for being kind with your message. Point taken. I kneew it was wrong of me to vandalise. Part of my brain starts to assume good faith with Archer7, but an inside intuition tells me his intent is to block me indefinitely and infinitely, finding as much possible evidence to link me to other accounts and frame me. Peer review of Atlanic Hurricane Season 2005[change source]

Most of the articles in 2005 Atlantic Hurricane Season were well done. There were a few problems with some of them. Red links were prevelant throughout many of the first articles listed, meaning you should go back into these articles and add these links to make them blue.

You need to expand Hurricane Rita, using EN:wikipedia as nessecary.

Tropical Storm Tammy needs redlink fixage, as well as Tropical storm Alpha.

Hurricane Wilma needs expansion.

Other than that, fine job!

-Razorflame (contributions) Talk 01:40, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Also, you need to make pages about the storms that aren't highlighted blue on that page. Forgot to mention that in my peer review. -Razorflame (contributions) Talk 01:51, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tropical Storm Jerry[change source]

I would only make a link to QuickScat if you plan on making an article that will explain what QuickScat is for those of us who don't know. -Razorflame (contributions) Talk 01:47, 5 December 2007 (UTC) Never mind about this. -Razorflame (contributions) Talk 01:48, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Inuse template[change source]

For articles on which you are editing, it might help other users out if you would post the {{inuse}} template so that others will know not to edit it. -Razorflame (contributions) Talk 02:50, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Also, don't forget to remove it when you have finished the article. -Razorflame (contributions) Talk 02:51, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Katrina and general hurricane template info[change source]

Due to the amount of info you have provide on Katrina, I shifted most of it into a specific category based on the storm (category:Hurricane Katrina). I also tweaked the {{Infobox Hurricane‎}} template to allow for no using the build in category (cat:tropical cyclones) in cases where the information on the storm is wide spread enough to warrant its own category (IE. Katrina). The attribute nocategory=1 will prevent the template from including it in cat:tropical cyclones when the storm is large enough to warrant its own category which would be a subcat of tropical cyclones. -- Creol(talk) 07:19, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestion[change source]

Hey, you might want to create the article before you create redirects to it since if someone happens to see you create a redirect before you create the article, they might tag the redirect for quick deletion as WP:QD#Redirects before you create the article. I usually wait a few minutes after someone creates a redirect to a non-existent article before tagging it for quick deletion, but some users might just tag them right away. Thanks and happy editing! // Lights // Bam! // 01:32, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No one likes school, but it isn't "retarded" as you so subtly put it. Also, what does the fact that I don't hate school have with the fact that I may or may not have a girlfriend?
Gwib-(talk)- 06:27, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Plus I didn't say that "you have done a lousy job on the 32 current VG articles" (yes, I stalked Huji's talk page). If you'll read my first rant, you'll see that I think that many of them are very good! Just most are not.
And just because I've been gone for 2 months doesn't mean that my judgement no longer matters...

VGAِ‎[change source]

I'm happy you've finally agreed with freezing VGA process for a short term. I appreciate your cooperation. - Huji reply 14:29, 14 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

VGA again[change source]

Hello Snake311. I know you are one of the regular contributors to the VGA process; you have contributed to most of the VGAs. I would therefore invite you to look at this page where the propsed new guideline is discussed. In addition, discussion seems to have been going on on the proposed articles talk page, but you probably know that. This discussion of a new guideline is not about saying someone is right, and someone else is wrong. It is about finding a set of criteria (as in: a guideline) most of us can live with. I therefore invite you to join the discussion; do not be afraid to say that you do not like a certain item; or to propose additional items. As said before, this is about finding some rules we can work with.--Eptalon 10:34, 15 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Could one move it to Wikipedia:De-adminship as is asked here by Oysterguitarist? --Cethegus 16:15, 16 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Re: VGA[change source]

I can't figure why you would think your proposal may be "overlooked by many other editors"! You expressed them pretty well, and I believe every user who reads that page to see what others have said and make a reply, will also your comments and proposal. Anyways, to make sure you are not losing all of your self-steam: I read the proposal long before I read your message on my talk page! (I was off-wiki for almost two weeks).

I don't have time to see the ScratchPad article now; if it is not an urgent thing, let's put it for later. Otherways, let me know.

Neptune (planet) is a good one. I think as there seems to be a consensus about having stricter VGA criteria, and as you cannot nominate it for VGA now (because of the process being freezed), you can spend some time to ensure it will match the new VGA criteria too :)

>> "My opinion was that the VGA criteria was just too strict for this wiki."

Well, I don't agree with you fully. Many of our current VGAs are the way they are, because they were written (or completed) after reading the VGA criteria. I think if we make the criteria a little harsher, we will also create some better articles :) This doesn't mean I think there is a complete correlation between how harsh are criteria are and how we produce VGAs, but they are not totally unrelated too.

>> "I ... may be able to spend more time on this wiki like Gwib"

Glad to hear that!

>> "... happy holidays!"

What?! Holidays?! What made you think I have holidays?! Dude, I am a man who works and studies and does lots of other things. There is no holiday in my life (and there hasn't been for the past few years, although in some occasions I have sort of pretended that I'm on a holiday, just to make sure I don't miss the feeling completely!)

Cheers, - Huji reply 19:21, 16 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
