Welcome to the Simple English Wikipedia[change source]

Hi, Sunrise! Welcome to Simple English Wikipedia! Thank you for your changes!

If you need help, check out the Help section of Wikipedia, or leave a message on my talk page.

Whenever leaving messages on talk pages, please remember to sign your name by typing four 'tildes' (like this: ~~~~); doing this makes your name and the date show up. Also, it helps if you write something in the box that says 'change summary' whenever you change an article.

Below are some useful links to make your time here simpler.

If you make a short article please mark it with {{stub}}, our guideline is here.

Happy changing! Peterdownunder (talk) 10:41, 13 August 2013 (UTC)

Vasoconstriction[change source]

Hello, Sunrise, and welcome to Simple English Wikipedia. You seem to be making some very good contributions here! I just wanted to let you know that I removed Category:Cardiovascular system from your new article Vasoconstriction. That is because the article already has Category:Blood vessels, which is a subcategory of Category:Cardiovascular system. You can read more about the reasoning for this at Wikipedia:Categories#Choosing the correct category. Again, welcome to Simple English Wikipedia! --Auntof6 (talk) 01:58, 15 August 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for the message. :-) I actually added a subcategory at Vasodilation as well, which I've now fixed. Please feel free to let me know about anything else as well. Sunrise (talk) 02:09, 15 August 2013 (UTC)

Discuss changes on talk pages[change source]

Changes to well-established pages should be discussed on talk pages first, especially if they are likely to be controversial. You have made a lot of changes very quickly without discussion. Please be careful. Macdonald-ross (talk) 11:36, 15 August 2013 (UTC)

Hi. I believe I'm being WP:BOLD, and I don't think the Origin of life page looks well-established. :-) That aside, do you have any objections? (check my edit summaries for reasoning). I can tell you that there is no such thing as the "protein world hypothesis" (e.g. there is no such page at enwiki) - certainly nothing comparable to the RNA world hypothesis. Sunrise (talk) 11:43, 15 August 2013 (UTC)
This is the kind of thing which belongs on the talk page so other editors in future can read it, and take part if they wish. Macdonald-ross (talk) 11:57, 15 August 2013 (UTC)
I put the reasoning in the edit summaries; there is little more to add unless someone raises a specific objection. (Do you have any? On enwiki it is not recommended to oppose a change solely on the basis that people might object - are things different here? I'm not trying to be confrontational - they're genuine questions.) Thanks, Sunrise (talk) 12:04, 15 August 2013 (UTC)
