I remember getting that on the English Wikipedia last year, I feel new.....Tofutwitch11 (talk) 21:17, 17 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Username?[change source]

Hi, I'm Exert one of the administrators here. I was just wondering what your username meant? Thanks. Exert 00:04, 24 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It doesn't; I just kindof made it up on the spot, don't worry, it's not a violation of the user name policy :D. Its really a long story. Sorry it took me so long to respond; I was busy at EN. Happy Thanksgiving. Tofutwitch11-Chat 02:30, 24 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, thanks for clearing that up :) Exert 17:13, 26 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Why did there seem to be a problem with it? Tofutwitch11-Chat 22:31, 26 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
A little, I read it as " to f u twitch 11". I guess it just depends on how you look at it, no biggie. Exert 02:09, 27 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
If I may butt in, I do not see any poke at a swear in this user name, although it is very strange. --Chemicalinterest (talk) 02:32, 27 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
To clarify I'm talking about the "f u" part of it, it just catches my eye every time. But if I'm the only one who sees it then it's all good :) Exert 03:01, 27 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I just see the word tofu. Kansan (talk) 03:02, 27 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thats all it is....Tofutwitch11-Chat 03:20, 27 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Oh wow, I see it now. Sorry for the trouble. Exert 04:51, 27 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Airport articles[change source]

Hey. I noticed you created some articles about airports in the United States. Please remember to place your airport articles in the right category, which I believe is Category:Airports in the United States. Also try to include at least one interwiki link if you can Purplebackpack89 03:52, 27 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about that, I'm used to a bot doing it an EN. Tofutwitch11-Chat 13:09, 27 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Don't worry about the Interwikis if you don't remember, the bot will catch them. Categories are a yes on the other hand. And welcome aboard! Goblin 13:58, 27 November 2010 (UTC) I ♥ Fr33kman![reply]
Thanks Tofutwitch11-Chat 14:02, 27 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
One small clarification...oftentimes the bots don't catch all the interwikis unless their are interwikis to begin with. So what I do is create the article with the en interwiki, and wait for ArthurBot to add the remaining Wikis Purplebackpack89 01:27, 28 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, they do, and there is more than one IW bot... Goblin 10:13, 28 November 2010 (UTC) I ♥ Nifky![reply]
Purplebackpack89, I've never had that problem, not once. The bot does well. Tofutwitch11-Chat 12:59, 28 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You are putting itchy tags on some articles. Many times it is better to improve the article rather than place some itchy tag on it. ;) --Chemicalinterest (talk) 02:10, 7 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Comments[change source]

How are we supposed to get articles to anything better than redlinked messes if everyone leaves when they see it? In my area, for example, I fill in almost all of my redlinks and create hundreds of articles in the process. So far I have created about 500 of them since August. This encyclopedia would not have any articles were it not for people who worked. --Chemicalinterest (talk) 18:50, 12 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
And your right -- I would gladly stay and help, but this is Simple English -- I really don't see much potential here, I mean, there is so much more at EN, I don't see an advantage here, then at EN, at all. Tofutwitch11-Chat 18:57, 12 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It was the opposite for me; although I had a recent activity spell at en, I felt that en was just about completed in my field (chemistry) and there were not many more useful edits for me to make. I was ecstatic when I found this place, where I could actually work. I didn't see any potential for myself at en but did see much potential at simple. --Chemicalinterest (talk) 01:13, 13 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Tofutwitch11, please think about coming back to help sometimes. You are right that there is so much more at EN, but for me that is the problem. I teach English as a foreign language. Most of the articles at EN have too much for my students to read. I sometimes ask them to read shorter, easier pages here on Simple. They can read, learn something, and enjoy it because it isn't too difficult. Of course, I have to be careful which articles to ask them to read. Gotanda (talk) 02:18, 13 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know....Maybe when I am more established on EN and my workload goes down....other Simple projects have been closed, and some very near in (simple wiktionary gets <20 edits per day, usually). Tofutwitch11-Chat 22:07, 13 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
(regarding post on GordonRox24's talk page) You can still be intricate here, having well written and structured articles. Intricacy is more important here as everything has to fit together right or it will not be simple. I get quite intricate on some chemical element articles and there is no reason people can't do that with other subjects' articles. --Chemicalinterest (talk) 00:25, 14 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Seeing that, and from persuasion by Sonia, I will change to semi-retired. Tofutwitch11-Chat 00:35, 14 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Happy New Year[change source]

I will probably stop editing around September of next year if I go to a college that does not allow Wikipedia. --Chemicalinterest (talk) 23:18, 27 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well, you still have nine months of good editing then :P Tofutwitch11 (TALK) 13:51, 28 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Your New Year's msg is missing a closing </div> tag, and the 2010 link is to "They Year 2010". Just thought you might want to know. - Amgine (talk) 16:22, 28 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, let me go fix those. Tofutwitch11 (TALK) 17:37, 28 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Signature[change source]

FYI, your signature makes the date and time bold. To fix this, make sure you add a </b> or ''' at the the end of the Tofuwitch11 part Purplebackpack89 18:13, 29 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I like it that way, it was intentional. Tofutwitch11 (TALK) 18:42, 29 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Barnstar[change source]

Dear Tofutwitch, thank you very much for the undeserved barnstar, and the still more kind and touching words! :) I'm sure you'll meet many people better than me, but your words made me smile in grateful delight: thanks again! I hope you have a beautiful day and continue your stay at Simple. Warmly, —Clementina talk 09:03, 30 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You deserve it, it's people like you that keep me going :) Tofutwitch11 (TALK) 16:10, 30 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A late Happy New Year to you too[change source]

Thanks for the New Year greeting. I was on a bit of a break over the holidays while I visited family. I stayed off the Net as much as I could to just spend time with people. I hope your 2011 is off to a good start. Gotanda (talk) 23:20, 6 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

An editor has requested deletion of User:Tofutwitch11/WikiProject Aviation, an article you created. We appreciate your changes, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article meets Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Please comment on the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Requests for deletion/Requests/2014/User:Tofutwitch11/WikiProject Aviation and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also change the article during the discussion to address the nominator's concerns. But you should not remove the requests for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you very much. Auntof6 (talk) 03:21, 7 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
