Hello, Tom Riddle~simplewiki, and welcome to the Simple English Wikipedia! I hope you will be happy helping here. You should begin by reading these pages: Wikipedia:Useful, Help:Contents, Wikipedia:Policies and guidelines, and how to write Simple English articles. If you want some ideas of which pages to work on, read Wikipedia:Requested articles or the list of wanted pages.

Even though it is a good idea to research an article (like looking at the discussion page) before making large changes, please be bold and try! Any changes you make that are not perfect can be fixed later. We are also working most on core articles and the most common topics until this Wikipedia grows.

If you want to ask a question or talk with other members, you can visit our version of the "village pump" at Wikipedia:Simple talk. Administrators on Wikipedia can also help you with more difficult problems. You can also ask me for help. The best way to do that is to leave a message on my talk page. You should always sign your messages on Talk pages by typing "~~~~" (four tildes) at the end of your words.

Good luck and happy editing! zephyr2k 22:40, 2 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Automatic?[change source]

Semi-automated. I have to manually type in {{subst:welcome}} on your talk page. zephyr2k 22:45, 2 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You mean the welcome template or the Simple English Wikipedia as a whole? The template was last edited October 06, while this wikipedia has been around since 2003. zephyr2k 22:53, 2 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
What makes this wikipedia different from the EN version is the complexity of the English being used. The articles should be simple and easy to understand. The target readers are people who do not have English as their primary language or children who cannot understand complicated English yet. zephyr2k 23:05, 2 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Nope. I've only been editing here for a month. But I started earlier in other wikipedias. zephyr2k 23:09, 2 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Nope. There are quite a few active editors in this wikipedia. We could use some help. zephyr2k 23:17, 2 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You're doing well. zephyr2k 00:06, 3 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure what you mean. The fact that you're showing a username instead of an IP when signing messages means that you have signed up for an account. Do you mean the history of your edits? zephyr2k 00:13, 3 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Not sure. Haven't read a policy about it. EN is not censored. But if the readers are supposed to be kids, then it might be censored. You might want to ask one of the admins about it. zephyr2k 00:23, 3 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Question[change source]

Someone needs to add a border to the template. I'm trying to figure it out. zephyr2k 00:24, 3 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

fixed zephyr2k 00:30, 3 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It's ok. I'm not that busy anyway. zephyr2k 00:33, 3 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
To add a border, type this:

{{border|[[Image:Flag of Estonia.svg|100px]]}} Thanks for asking. -- Tdxiang 05:21, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

An image[change source]

Hi, one of your images (it said on it's page) that it did not come from the Wikimedia Commons. Please, don't upload files on this Wiki. Do it there instead. If I contacted you on mistake, please tell me on My Talk Page. I think you did it, but I'm not sure. (I'm talking about File:Armenian Music.jpg) Cheers!
