Please stop making changes to this page. I'm in the middle of editing it. Macdonald-ross (talk)

Simplify[change source]

I notice from your record that you have sometimes added text from English Wikipedia without simplifying it. This is something we do not allow. We have a readership of young people and people whose English is not too good, and we ask contributors to simplify any text they bring over. Example:River Wear. Now, I know the English page is dreadful, and does not have the information you need for a Simple page. In such a case you have two options:

  1. Simplify it, or
  2. Don't bring it over.

There is a third point:

3. Changes to established pages need to be justified. It's not enough to change it because (for instance) "if I'd been doing it, I would have done it differently". Changes need to have acceptable reasons.

Please visit our main page, and go on to our other pages which offer help on how to simplify English. Best wishes. Macdonald-ross (talk) 14:16, 14 February 2012 (UTC)

Full stops[change source]

If it's not a complete sentence with an subject, object, and a verb it does not need a full stop (period). Please don't spend your time making such changes, because others have to check the changes to every page they watch. Thank you, Macdonald-ross (talk) 08:16, 9 November 2013 (UTC)
