Battle of Marathon[change source]
I notice from your record that you have sometimes added text from English Wikipedia without simplifying it. This is something we do not allow. We have a readership of young people and people whose English is not too good, and we ask contributors to simplify any text they bring over. Example:River Wear. Now, I know the English page is dreadful, and does not have the information you need for a Simple page. In such a case you have two options:
- Simplify it, or
- Don't bring it over.
There is a third point:
- 3. Changes to established pages need to be justified. It's not enough to change it because (for instance) "if I'd been doing it, I would have done it differently". Changes need to have acceptable reasons.
Full stops[change source]
If it's not a complete sentence with an subject, object, and a verb it does not need a full stop (period). Please don't spend your time making such changes, because others have to check the changes to every page they watch. Thank you, Macdonald-ross (talk) 08:16, 9 November 2013 (UTC)
