Valmy is a commune in the Marne departement, in Grand Est, in France. In 2020, 282 people lived there. On 20 September 1792, the Battle of Valmy took place there. Prussian troops marched towards Paris, but could by stopped. Valmy is a rural commune today, most people are in agriculture. Today, mostly cereals are grown. People from the commune created a beer with the same name, made from barley grown locally.

There are some monuments, related to the battle. The most notable of these is a windmill, which was destroyed before the battle, and which has recently been rebuilt.
