Valparaiso University is a private university in Valparaiso, Indiana. The university has about 4,061 students. It was founded in 1859. The current president of the university is Mark A. Heckler.

The athletics teams of the university are called the Crusaders. They have 14 varsity teams and they compete in the Horizon League and the Eastern Intercollegiate Gymnastics League for gymnastics.
