The Vancouver International Film Festival (VIFF) is an annual movie festival in Vancouver, British Columbia. It is held for two weeks in late September and early October. It is held by Greater Vancouver International Film Festival Society and it began in 1982. It is among the five largest movie festivals in North America.[1] The Festival screens the largest selection of East Asian movies outside of that region, it is one of the biggest showcases of Canadian film in the world, and it has one of the a largest nonfiction program outside of a Documentary Film Festival.[1]
