Vanderburgh County is a county in the U.S. state of Indiana. As of 2010, 179,703 people lived there[1] which makes it the seventh-largest county by population in the state. The county seat is Evansville.[2] It is also the eighth-smallest county by area in Indiana. The county was founded on January 7, 1818.
