Victor Ponta (b. 20 September 1972, Bucharest) is a Romanian politician. He is president of the Social Democratic Party (PSD). On 7 May 2012, he became Prime Minister of Romania.[1]. He resigned on 4 November 2015

He studied law in Bucharest, finishing in 1995. He is PSD's candidate for the Romanian presidential elections in 2014.
