West Creek Township is one of eleven townships in Lake County, Indiana. When counted at 2010, its population was 6,826 people and it had 2,664 houses.[3]

West Creek Township was founded in 1839. It took its name from the westernmost of the three nearby large streams.[4]

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 62.08 square miles (160.8 km2), of which 61.96 square miles (160.5 km2) (or 99.81%) is land and 0.12 square miles (0.31 km2) (or 0.19%) is water.[3]
