West Creek Township is one of eleven townships in Lake County, Indiana. When counted at 2020, its population was 7,676 people and it had 3,046 houses.[3]
History
[change | change source]West Creek Township was founded in 1839. It took its name from the westernmost of the three nearby large streams.[4]
Geography
[change | change source]According to the 2020 census, the township has a total area of 62.07 square miles (160.8 km2), of which 61.96 square miles (160.5 km2) (or 99.81%) is land and 0.12 square miles (0.31 km2) (or 0.19%) is water.[5]
