I'm a medical doctor by trade and work in family medicine and emergency care (I drive an ambulance rapid response car). I have been an editor on enWP since December 2006 and feel I have a fairly good reputation there with the people who know me. I perform dispute resolution over there quite a bit (more than my logbooks would say as I got fed-up of constantly editing them). I am first-and-foremost a mainspace editor. I feel that it is in mainspace where a project will live or die. I don't like disputes (that involve myself) but find a great satisfaction is helping editors solve them. Here on seWP I am trying to build the Nazi Germany articles and also to write articles that have something to do with the police and/or New York City. I hate vandalism and don't understand the mentality of those who do it. I have rollback both here and on enWP and I use it whenever I see vandalism. I feel that I have always been WP:CIVIL and can't remember a time I've been rude to someone and would feel quite ashamed if I have been. I'm profoundly dyslexic and this is sometimes reflected in my edits! I have been here for a few months but I had to take some time off all Wiki activities due to two deaths in my immediate familty and due to attending a graduation (PhD) and starting a new job. That's about all I can say for the moment!  :-) fr33kman t - c 04:59, 19 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Okay, first let me say that I am increadibly jealous of your job. I'd love to be an ambulance technician or paramedic, although perhaps less of the actual doctor part. How would you go about doing such a thing, and do you have any jobs going? :) On a more related note, I think you are doing well. You seem to be level headed. Keep up the good work. (I was never very good at doing reviews :( ) Kennedy (talk) 09:40, 19 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you kindly for your review (I like the History of Nazi Germany from a cultural psychology perspective. It came about so subtlety that I wonder if it will happen again someday, elsewhere.) fr33kman t - c 00:04, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • You're dyslexic? nowai. You are an amazing editor, who reverts vandalism and builds articles. You contribute your 2 cents to WP:ST and WP:AN often, too. You are very civil. Kennedy, it's not your fault. We just can't find anything wrong with this user, that's all. So, that's my review. Also, if you are ever interested in running for adminship, let me know, so that I can write a good nomination, and not as small as this pathetically small review. ;) That's all, fr33k. Thank you kindly for your review. (Yes I'm dyslexic; I have spent a great part of my life working on it; there are things I do to greatly lessen the effects.) fr33kman t - c 00:04, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Questions

  1. Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
Color of the day (police) is a page I wrote from scratch on enWP and then brought to here. I hope to have it become a Good Article and am working on that now. I also think that my explanation of how to bring over an article from enWP is pretty good User:Fr33kman/copyenwp.
  2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
No, I can't remember any. I don't get into conflicts. I fully believe that we all have something to give to any Wikimedia project. I firmly believe that all editors (regardless of what "bits" they hold) need to remember that there is an actual human being at the keyboard on the other end of the username. Please do feel free to review my global edits, however, and verify this. :-) I've never been blocked and I've only ever had a single warning ever which was for performing a non-admin closure incorrectly on enWP. As regards to stress, I don't like vandals or people who insult others but ... I have a rule; unless you are going to worry about it on your death-bed, it's not such a big deal now. Words to live by, I think! :)
