Razorflame 5th Editor Review[change source]

Razorflame (talk · contribs) Hello there all! This is just a check-up to see exactly how and what people think/feel about me editing on this site. I would appreciate all the helpful tips that you can give me at this time, as I will use these to help me understand exactly what it is that needs working on before my next RfA. This is just for reviews, please; please do not bring up any of my previous RfAs' or any such topic. Please let me know what it is that I do well on this site and what it is that I don't do too well on this site as this will help me modify my behavior to exclude/include certain behaviors that I exhibit when editing this site. Thank you and cheers.

That was what I said back in October of this year. The basis for this Editor Review is the same a couple of months later; I am wanting to see what people think/feel about me editing on this site currently. I would also like it if you could tell me exactly what it is that I need to work on in order to be able to have a successful RfA in the future. If you could do that for me, that would be great! Reviews Shapiros10's Review OK, you do quite a nice job writing the river articles, I must admit. And your antivandal work seems pretty good, you've just gained rollback and i see no misuses. However, I have a couple bones to pick. Although it's not a big deal, you did rush an RFD yesterday, which isn't something you want to to very often if you are planning on becoming an administrator. Second off, you may want to see about developing more in-depth articles. You've created many, many, many, Romanian river articles, but all of that doesn't really show a lot of effort. Also, I don't mean to beat the dead horse, but is one of our CORE guidelines as an Encyclopedia and I would not like to see it broken by anyone who wants to become an admin. You're going to have to work quite hard if you want to even have a chance of a successful RFA. In conclusion, you are doing a good job as an editor. Review my RyanCross (talk · contribs): Basically what Shapiros said above, but I just want to add on. You do create hundreds of stubs, but maybe try working on content rather than creating stubs. If I remember correctly, you have one WP:GA, and again if I remember correctly, was nominated for demotion. It took several people to avoid the article from being demoted. Anyway, this GA was from a while back, so have you done any content work recently? If not, then try doing so. And about the RfA... I don't think it's a good idea to ask what you need to do to have a successful RfA. It's not like a checklist; the goal being to get everything done on the list to have a successful RfA. The best advice I can give to you if you want to become an administrator is to not worry about wanting to become an administrator. Just do what you normally do and just not think about adminship. It's no bid deal, so there's no need to rush on that. The encyclopedia is what you should be most worrying about. I know you do a lot of article creating, which is good, but just don't set your mind onto adminship too much.

Questions

  1. Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
A majority of my contributions are minor edits here and there with only a few big projects coming out of my editing on this site. My contribution in which I am most proud of at this point in time is my major expansion of the Romania article (5 kilobytes --> more than 32 kilobytes of text :)). Other than that, I have no other memorable edits.
  2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
Yes, yes, and yes; I have probably been involved in some of the biggest conflicts over editing in the past. Two big issues that have occured in the past include my 9th RfA, which still holds the record as the longest RfA and debate ever to occur on this site, and the Iamandrewrice incident back in January of this year. Both have been completely resolved and I am already modified my behavior to exclude these behaviors from my editing on this site.
