Proposed very good articles  Very good articles are the highest status of articles at Simple English Wikipedia. In order to become a very good article, there are certain criteria that the article must meet. These criteria can be found at Wikipedia:Requirements for very good articles. This page is to discuss articles to decide whether they meet the VGA criteria. When an article is posted here for discussion, it should have the {{pvgood}} tag placed on it. This will place the article in Category:Proposed very good articles. Articles which are accepted by the community as very good articles have their {{pvgood}} tag replaced with {{vgood}}. They are also listed on Wikipedia:Very good articles and are placed in Category:Very good articles. Articles which are not accepted by the community as very good articles have their {{vgood}} tag removed. Articles that are below the very good article criteria can be nominated to be a good article at Wikipedia:Proposed good articles. In order to make sure the article you are proposing meets the required size, use this tool. Please notice that the text size is important, not the wikitext size.

Proposals for very good articles
[change source]To propose an article for Very Good article status, just add it to the top of the list using the code, filling out 'page title' and 'reason' with your proposed page's title and why you think this page should be a proposed article: {{subst:Pgapropose|page title|reason}} ~~~~
You may have one nomination open at a time only. Proposals run for three weeks. After this time the article will be either promoted or not promoted depending on the consensus reached in the discussion.
This is not a vote, so please do not use comments such as "Support" or "Oppose" only without giving constructive feedback.

Subject that does belong on Wikipedia (Spanish footballer from the 1950s/60s, who is considered both one of the best midfielders and best Spanish players of all time).- The article is comprehensive.
- I'm seeing 9.8KB on my end, which I'd say fits the definition of "several kilobytes"
- Although not by different editors, has gone through several revisions, with feedback made by both fr33kman and Auntof6 (any changes done prior to October 1st was made in this sandbox).
- The article is in the appropriate categories, with (as of October 27, 2025) 45 interwiki links.
- No change wars, no big changes, and the article is stable.
- No red links (created the final few missing articles today)
- Images on the article are all related and properly labelled.
- No improvement templates on the article.
- Everything (at least to my knowledge) is properly referenced.
I've been working on both simplifying the article and creating articles for it for the past two months. I now feel confident enough to consider listing it here for nomination. ShadowBallX (talk) 06:44, 27 October 2025 (UTC)

Comment: It's definitely close. The article is overall well sourced, well written, simplified pretty well (I did some simplifying in the death section) and it's entire blue links (no red links) which is nice. There's just one sentence in the managerial career "He also worked as the manager of Cagliari, SPAL and Como in Italy, and Deportivo La Coruña and Albacete in Spain" that is unsourced. - Support I am happy with this. The main advice I would give is that there seem to be quite a lot of complex sentences with subordinate clauses. This is the main thing that I think needs to be worked on. --Ferien (talk | join TBA!) 12:44, 29 November 2025 (UTC)
