Thse two articles are my first attempts at converting articles from en.wiki. (with the template they both use). I am trying to have this article as much simple I can. I have nominated a fact from it for DYK section of the main page. I want to make it a GA and then VGA, however I am currently thinking of only GA status. This article is already a FA (known as VGA here) on Hindi and Sanskrit wiki and a GA nominee on English wiki. With respect, you should not be thinking of GA or VGA. Learn how to do an averagely good article first. Look through the changes and comments made under DYK, and to the opening paragraph of the article. Don't rush it. Take it slowly step by step. Well, I notice too much unnecessary praise, almost as if you were advertising a product. Style should be more neutral, factual, descriptive. Too many of the references are not sufficiently independent of the subject.

Many of the words are unknown to a non-Indian: cut as many as you can. Some of the claims are probably exaggerated, and each piece of supporting evidence needs to be looked at. How, for example, can one run post-graduate courses for people who are mentally deficient? Seems not sensible. Many mistakes in the English, but that's not the main problem because others can help you there.

Disregarding his blindness, what would you say were his greatest accomplishments? That means, not 20 different things, but the one or two things he will be most remembered for. Reading the page as it is now, one can't tell. Macdonald-ross (talk) 18:09, 2 August 2011 (UTC)

I think you (we) still have a long way to go - standards for GA are getting harder to meet. For a start I think it will need lots more references, maybe 40+. For a start we could cleanup existing refs, there are books without ISBNs and without specific page numbers. More than familiar with BITE. If you don't like my attitude, deal with it - I really couldn't care less. I've contributed to content, I will continue to contribute content, and before you start on a process it is normally a good idea to read how they work regardless.
