As there is no actual category for this request to fall under I went with the closest match. the item is listed above but im not entirely certain the permission exists outside of a power of admins.

I am requesting Transwiki-imported rights. THe primary use for this request is importing templates from En. that are being called for by articles here. Currently, I just copy/paste the en version. As with my last batch (country data for flagicon use) this is a bit on the repetitive side. As a tw-importer, it would decrease the time needed, ensure that templates are attributed and quite likely not flood RC with all the new pages being created. There is currently no plans to use the rights and as such I see that as a reason for denial but lets look long time. How often it would be used? idealy never.. in reality how often do we see pages with missing templates? my last 50 template creations took abuout a month and a half. Not overwhelming but not insignificant either. I may not use it for a time, I may come across an article later today that needs 10 templates (already had one of those today so a repeat isnt likely) --Creol(talk) 21:24, 26 March 2022 (UTC)

1. Support? I really had to do my research on this, as we've only had a handful of requests, and none have ever been successful. post-edit, apparently our archives only go back to 2015, but there were successful requests before then I believe that eligibility to receive the transwiki-import flag has to be approved by the community, and then the flag is given for specific tasks as approved by bureaucrats (similar to a bot). So.. with that being said, I feel you meet the exact requirements of the type of user that could use it, as you meet the policy and have extensive experience on-wiki. 2. Support I didn't do any research. I was wondering if it was a consensus thing or not earlier today but lost interest after two minutes. Anyway Creol is a good user and he should be the first to be an importer without being an administrator if what Griff said was true. He has really good edits, is helpful, and is active in our community. Also did Creol actually stop and copy-edit that lol MrMeAndMrMe_{Let's talk} 05:08, 27 March 2022 (UTC)
3. Support It looks like a consensus would be needed and there are no problems with granting Creol the rights, he can be trusted. Moving this to a subpage would be a good idea though, to avoid flooding the page history of RfP. •  Comment: I don't think this is a community consensus thing. I believe our practice is to give importer at the time it's needed for a specific task, then remove it when the task is done. If the task is minor, an admin will usually just do the import. --Auntof6 (talk) 06:05, 27 March 2022 (UTC)

  Quoting from our importer policy: To gain access to the local import tool one must place a request on the requests for permissions page. This is only required for the first instance of granting the tool. Subsequent grants can be accomplished by placing the task request on the Administrators' noticeboard. An attending bureaucrat will grant the tool. The editor must meet certain requirements [which include]...gain a local consensus. I'm not sure if the consensus is for the task or for the person, but the fact that only the first request needs to go through RFP indicates to me that its for the latter. Either way, I support giving Creol this tool on a standing basis to import templates. Expanding on my comment, the last time we gave out this right was in 2011, and it was handled as a normal RFA. In fact, only 4 users have ever had importer/trans-wiki importer, such as Razorflame, a prolific creator of articles here, who held it on a semi-permanent basis. I have no issue with Creol holding on to it, as none of what is being requested is controversial and I find it extremely unlikely we will have issues in the future.
