Wikipedia:Schools/Projects/Body Systems Project

From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Body Systems Project is a research project for a school in California. Up to 65 students will be researching and editing articles on health issues that impact specific body systems. They will research in library reference sources and then they will edit and cite the sources they reference in the Simple English Wikipedia article.

They will create their accounts in the day or two prior to the workshop, and they will be doing the actual editing from about 8am-12noon PST on Monday, February 22, 2016. Teachers will look over the work and make editorial changes. It would be helpful if we can have until March 7, 2016 to make edits. Students will circle back to their pages in the second half of April to look at the changes that have been made. So, while the class project will be live and they might be touching their articles again in late April, we would invite--and even encourage--editors to interact with all pages on our class project after March 7.

We are currently editing, thank you for your support! --Castilibrary (talk)

Please note: students will be preparing their sentences in a Google Doc (as they are working in partner groups) and pasting them in all at once. They are not plagiarizing will be checking for that.
