Hi there, this is Shappy, writing my fourth article for Simple News. In this article, I'd like to talk about oversight. Oversight is the act of removing a revision from the database - it's as if that revision never existed. Oversight is used to remove harmful personal information.
Lately, Simple has been needing oversight more and more. We have had a steward perform oversight for us. After this, and discussion, Simple decided that it might not be a bad idea for the project to have local oversighters.
Elections for oversight will most likely be held sometime in early August. If you are over the age of 18 and an experienced admin, please sign up! We need your help. Hopefully, after the election we will have local oversighters and be able to deal with the need for such more efficiently.
