Crat chat[change source]

I would like to note here that as of the 7th day of this RfP (21 May), there were less than the 25 votes of approval as required by WMF-wide OS policy. Were this particular RfP to close on-the-dot on the 7th day, this would have been considered a failed permissions request. Nevertheless, this is not an uncommon situation on this wiki, due to the relatively small community and comparatively wider activity intervals, and thus I move to close this RfP as successful, with the following factors influencing this particular call:

 (change conflict)  Unfortunately, I would have preferred not to rely on "common sense" reasoning for a thing such as RfPs. In Wikipedia:Requests for oversightship/The Rambling Man, a bureaucrat at that time did voice their objection to such de facto extensions (which, I emphasize, are not properly defined in policy pages). For that particular RfP, the discussion didn't really take off, as far as I can tell, and it was closed as successful in the end. When this is all done I intend to initiate a new discussion on ST to provide clarity to WP:CFA. Chenzw  Talk  12:47, 25 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
