William "Hootie" Johnson

William Woodward "Hootie" Johnson (February 16, 1931 – July 14, 2017) was an American banker and the chairman of the executive committee at Bank of America. He was a member of the South Carolina Business Hall of Fame and a chairman of Augusta National Golf Club. He was born in Augusta, Georgia. From 1957 through 1958, Johnson served in the South Carolina House of Representatives. He was a member of the Republican Party.

Johnson died on July 14, 2017 of mesothelioma in Columbia, South Carolina at the age of 86.[1]
