William Alvin "Tex" Moncrief Jr.[2][3] (March 27, 1920 – December 29, 2021) was an American businessman and philanthropist. He worked in the oil and gas sector.[4][5] He was President of Moncrief Oil, and was a billionaire member of the 2006 Forbes 400, with an estimated net worth of US$1 billion.[2]

Moncrief died on December 29, 2021 in Fort Worth, Texas at the age of 101.[6]
