William Wright (Australian bishop)

William Joseph Wright (26 October 1952 – 13 November 2021) was an American-born Australian Roman Catholic prelate. He was the bishop of Maitland-Newcastle from 2011 until September 2021. Wright was born in Washington, D.C..

Wright died on 13 November 2021 at a hospital from lung cancer in Maitland, New South Wales at the age of 69.[1]
