Xaver Schlager (born 28 September 1997) is an Austrian footballer who plays as Midfielder for FC Red Bull Salzburg in the Austrian Bundesliga.[1]

After playing for the youth team of SC St. Valentin he came to the FC Red Bull Salzburg Academy in 2011, where he played in all teams. In 2015, he was transferred to FC Liefering, the farm team of FC Red Bull Salzburg. In 2016 he signed a contract with FC Red Bull Salzburg. On May 10th 2016 he played his first match in the Austrian Bundesliga versus SV Grödig.

He also was captain of the FC Salzburg U19 team which won the 2016/17 UEFA Youth League.

He played for the Austrian U16, U17 and U19 national team. With Austria U19 he played the UEFA U19 European Championship 2015. Then he played for the U21 national team. In March 2018 he had his first appearance in th Nationalteam of Austria.
