Yaakov Perlow

Yaakov Perlow (Hebrew: יעקב פרלוב, 1931 – April 7, 2020) was an American Hasidic rabbi and rosh yeshiva, and Rebbe of the Novominsker Hasidic dynasty. From 1998 until his death, he was president of Agudath Israel of America. He was also in charge of that organization's Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah (Council of Torah Sages). He was one of the most respected leaders of the American Orthodox Jewish community. Perlow was born in Brooklyn.

Perlow died on April 7, 2020 of COVID-19 in Brooklyn at the age of 89.[1]
