Yarudora Series Vol.1: Double Cast (the PlayStation Portable version is known as Yarudora Portable: Double Cast) is the first entry in the Yarudora series of FMV adventure games where the player watches video clips while making dialogue choices that can branch the story to a number of different endings. Animation was produced by Production I.G., featuring character designs and animation direction by Keiji Gotoh, while Sugar & Rockets handled the game development side of the production. SCEI published Double Cast in Japan on June 25, 1998 for the PlayStation with a ported for the PlayStation Portable later being releasing in 2005 as Yarudora Portable: Double Cast.

Gameplay & Story[change | change source]

The story is a about a young college student that is helped out of the garbage by an energetic young woman after he passed out from drinking all night. As it turns out the woman has lost her memories and can only remember her name, Akasaka Mitsuki, but otherwise doesn't know anything else about herself. One thing leads to another and the two begin living together and Mitsuki eventually volunteers to play the leading role in a movie being created by the protagonist's college film studies group. However the movie's script has a shady history and is thought to be cursed, with misfortune befalling anyone that tries to adapt it. As the group begins filming, a mysterious man on a motorcycle tries to attack Mitsuki among other strange happenings involving the cast and crew.
