Yazoo City, Mississippi
Yazoo City is a city in Mississippi. It is the county seat of Yazoo County, Mississippi. The population in 2010 was 11,403. Yazoo city was named after the Yazoo River, which was named by the French explorer Robert La Salle in 1682. He named it after the Yazoo tribe who lived nearby.
