Yehoshua Porath

Yehoshua Porath (Hebrew: יהושע פורת) (January 13, 1938 – November 24, 2019[1]) was an Israeli historian and professor emeritus of Middle East history. Porath was a lecturer in the History of Muslim Countries at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.[2] He unsuccessfully ran for the Knesset in 1992 and in 1996.

Porath died on November 24, 2019 in Jerusalem at the age of 81.[1]
