Yuri Alekseevich Ryzhov (Russian: Ю́рий Алексе́евич Рыжо́в; October 28, 1930 – July 29, 2017) was a Soviet and Russian scientist in the field of fluid dynamics, political and social activist. He was born in Moscow. He was a member of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Academician since 1987; Corresponding Member since 1981). He served as Russian Ambassador to France from 1992 through 1998.[1]

Ryzhov died on July 29, 2017 in Moscow at the age of 86.[1]
