Talk:Telegraphy
Renaming[change source]
I would suggest renaming the article to Telegraphy, which is at the moment a redirect to Telegraph. The fact is that there is already an article describing the instrument itself: Electrical telegraph. --Michael Romanov (talk) 19:43, 18 May 2015 (UTC)
- Yes, I think that's clearly better, so I've done it. Macdonald-ross (talk) 20:15, 18 May 2015 (UTC)
- Brilliant! I appreciate your cooperation. Cheers, --Michael Romanov (talk) 20:20, 18 May 2015 (UTC)
- Not a merger? Well, I guess you've put more thought into it than I have. Jim.henderson (talk) 20:32, 18 May 2015 (UTC)
- I would leave the two articles separately. Telegraphy is a more general term about the principle and use. Electrical telegraph is about devices (instruments). Other wikis keep them separately, as well, although I understand this could not be a firm basis for making decision. Nevertheless, I would not merge the articles.
