Thanks

Thanks for all your help so far, especially with that vandal, I've just blocked them. I've checked your contributions, and you're OK, I'll remove that message. Let me know if you need any help. Archer7 15:16, 12 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you.

Sorry, image uploads are not allowed on this Wikipedia. You can upload free images to Wikimedia Commons and link to them just like you would here, but fair use images are not allowed. For more information, see Wikipedia:Image use policy. Archer7 18:23, 12 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, my mistake. Thank you for pointing it out. Billz 18:24, 12 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It's OK, everybody makes mistakes and trust me, you're not alone on this one. Archer7 18:25, 12 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked vandal

No problem. I'm fairly sure it's the same person I blocked several times last night, that seems to have it out for one user in particular[1], and I guess you got their attention by reverting one of their attacks.[2] Freshstart 21:55, 12 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thanks for getting rid of the vandal. He hates me so please watch over my user page or set up an auto-revert bot.

Vandal

All this vandalism is from on user evading our blocks. I've already blocked that IP, but he'll be back. We're working on getting rid of him for good, he won't be around for much longer. Archer7 15:02, 13 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks once again for your help. Billz 15:11, 13 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Apoligies

I accidently flagged you for the vandalism of various webpages, oblivious to the fact to the fact that you were repairing them in time with my own repairs. I have cleared the tags, and once again, sorry. NCCschool

No problem. It's a very easy mistake to make, as I have found out. Billz 09:59, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey

I appreciate your fight against the vandal against me, but I think this project would be much better without you.Reri Horlockon 23:08, 22 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't appreciate that, Reri. I work on Simple Wikipedia for the same reason as many, to help stop vandals who are ruining this resource. Billz 18:04, 23 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The user now claims their account was hacked by the vandal. Under investigation. Archer7 | talk 00:16, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Worms vandal

Al2999 is a returning vandal, the one that keeps attacking you I think and creating new accounts. Don't bother welcoming new users at the moment, they'll be one every second. New user 46 will vandalise Worm in a minute. Archer7 | talk 21:47, 24 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

As you said, they have done so. Billz 21:48, 24 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

deletions

If something can be immediately deleted, use {{delete|give a reason}}. -- Netoholic @ 16:25, 31 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much. I will use this in future. Billz 16:49, 31 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Billz, the articles about Tardis, Cybermen and Daleks are very badly written and improperly formatted, and probably seem like "nonsense" as the author gave no context, but they are actually references to the famous show Doctor Who. (I thought everyone in England knew these things!) Cheers, Blockinblox 12:40, 2 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I did think they were nonsense, but after a little research, I realise that they are actually real articles, albeit poorly formatted and laid-out. Billz 21:46, 2 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Reply

No problem. I just mentioned it in the edit summary just in case you weren't aware. Freshstart 23:27, 2 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Subst:

Please check this template: en:template:subst. We have it here too.

About nonsense articles, use template:non. -- aflm (talk) 19:45, 4 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much. I will try to use this in the future. Billz 19:47, 4 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It should be used just on user talk pages. -- aflm (talk) 18:05, 11 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the welcome, I'm a regular at en:Wikipedia. Happy editting, View 22:36, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Vishnu article

I just wanted to ask why you reverted my edit to the Vishnu page. Goddess of money just sounds insulting and is an oversimplification, so I changed it to fortune. If that is not simple enough, there must be some other alternative.--172.213.68.214 16:02, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I apologise for reverting this edit. I believed, from the previous edit, that Vishu was the god of fortune (As in luck), however your edit was totally correct and I have since reverted it back to your edit. I hope that you accept my sincere apologies on this matter. Billz 18:10, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello

Hello. How do you do. I am W:User:Bhadani of Englsih wikipedia. I want to do some work here also. Thank you, bye bye, ta ta. --Bhadani 15:25, 10 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Bhadani. I'm cool thanks. I'm very pleased to hear that you are looking for some work to do around here. If you want to create pages, here is a list of the most wanted pages. If you just want to help revert vandalism, you would also be very welcome onboard our team. Billz 15:27, 10 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
So you are around. You are a very good worker. I shall use very simple English, and I will write new pages. I will also revert vandalim. --Bhadani 15:31, 10 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry

I have never intended to hurt Wikipedia. Apparently my brother did I while I had a page open. My highest apoligies. (Linuxerist sees all chances of ever becoming an admin at a simple project fly out the window). ~Linuxerist L / T 18:26, 11 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re:welcome

thanks for that, I use the english wikipedia tons, I'm hoping I can get some more articles into this one as well. So you get the same vandal problems here too? wow! I thought this wiki was too obscure for that. I'll help best I can. One qquestion though: must I use simple english on talk pages as well, or is it only articles that follow that? MichaelBillington 11:19, 16 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Admin request

Thanks for your cooperation on your admin request, I know it may be quite disappointing. If you would like some extra functions (like revert) to help you with navigation when fighting vandalism you could always try navigation popups. Thanks for all your work for Wikipedia~ Archer7 | talk 18:57, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I had a spare few minutes today and was wondering whether I could become and Administrator, which could help me be more efficient when reverting vandalism, however I can fully understand your concerns. I am not in any hurry to become an administrator and I will keep reverting vandalism for a little longer before re-applying. Thank you for the opportunity. Billz 18:59, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Barnstar

For all your great work in protecting the encyclopedia.

Here is the third barnstar in the history of Simple. You've really worked hard to protect us from vandals. For a while now I thought there had been so little vandalism, but now I realise that was because you were beating me to it! Archer7 | talk 22:56, 5 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's very rewarding to know that my work has not been unnoticed. Thank you very much for the Barnstar and for your appreciation. Billz 11:41, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

HELLO

Thanks for the message!--69.174.252.80 21:03, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Google articles

Please combine all those new one-line pages you just made into the Google page itself. Come on. -- Netoholic @ 19:40, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

In fact, please stop creating stubs at all. If you only have enough time to make stubs, we don't need them. Put that effort instead into a good quality core article. All you're doing by creating stubs is leaving work for other people. -- Netoholic @ 19:42, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I am in the middle of expanding these articles and sorting out the Google article. Billz (Talk) 19:43, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
All websites/products of Google belong in the Google article itself. I'll tell you when it gets too long. -- Netoholic @ 19:44, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I understand, but I have spent a lot of time on the article today and I am still sorting it out. Billz (Talk) 19:45, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Creating one-line intentional stubs is disruptive, especially after being asked not to. Stop now, and please work on all the Google properties within the Google page itself. -- Netoholic @ 19:48, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I would be grateful if I could finish creating the articles and restructure the Google page, so you can see the completed structure. Thanks. Billz (Talk) 19:52, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked for a couple hours. This website is not "Google-pedia" and you were asked to stop creating all those pages. When you come back from the block, please feel free to expand the short descriptions that are part of the Google article. -- Netoholic @ 23:52, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

After spending most of my afternoon, evening and early morning creating the Google articles, I am quite shocked to find myself blocked from editing and all of them being reverted. My concept (Here) cleared up the Google page and showed readers how many services Google offer.
At no time did I create these articles to create dispute or to annoy any other Wikipedians, I did it because I actually thought that it was a sensible contribution which Simple English Wikipedia would benefit from.
With the current state of affairs, several important Google services, which I spent a lot of time adding, such as Google Accessible Search, are not on the encyclopedia. I believe that people on Simple English Wikipedia would be very interested to know about similar Google services, which are no longer listed anywhere.
I understand that it is not our job to promote or have a comprehensive list of services offered by Google, however they would interest the reader. After reverting my edits, I feel that the Google page looks very cluttered and only a limited amount of information can be added for each of the very limited selection of services shown.
I hope that you can understand my viewpoint, but after all of my hard work and time being wasted, I will not be improving the Google article any further.
Thank you.
Billz (Talk) 07:38, 27 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
That is your choice. -- Netoholic @ 19:18, 27 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I understand that it was my choice to spend best part of a day trying to improve the Google article, but when my work is simply removed and I am blocked because I trying to improve a very important article, I believe that it is totally unacceptable.
Your messages that you sent to me were very blunt and in some ways, they were very hurtful. I spent a long time trying to improve the article and I wasn't looking for praise, but I did not expect to be blocked from editing.
As you can see from my high number of edits each day (Nearly 15), I spent a lot of time trying to improve Wikipedia and reverting damage caused by vandals. After being treated so unfairly by yourself, I will be seriously considering whether I should be helping this project.
Billz (Talk) 19:24, 27 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

Thanks for that. I didn't notice it-Ket 12:11, 27 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

To be honest, I had only just noticed it myself, even though it had been there a while. Billz (Talk) 12:12, 27 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
