It was released as a single on October 30, 2020.[1] The song was written by Grande, Albert Stanaj, Courageous Xavier Herrera, Scott Nicholson, Steven Franks, Tayla Parx, Victoria Monét, and its producers Peter Lee Johnson and Tommy Brown. It runs for two minutes and 54 seconds.[2]
On October 30, 2020, the song was released by Republic Records as the second single from the album. The song's title and overall theme is about the 69 sex position with some sex jokes.[3]
On January 15, 2021, a remix of the song featuring American rappers Doja Cat and Megan Thee Stallion was released with verses written by the artists.[4] It is eight seconds longer than the original.[5]
The song entered at number eight on the Billboard Hot 100 upon the album's release.[6] Combined with sales of the remix, the song later peaked at number two in the US.[7]
