Zwarte Piet (English: Black Peter) is in the folklore and legends of the Netherlands and Flanders, a companion of Saint Nicholas (Dutch: Sinterklaas, a traditional Winter holiday figure).[1] This is celebrated every year on 6 December. The Zwarte Piets distribute sweets and presents to all good children.
