Description Pharmacist's Mate Third Class Jack Williams, United States Naval Reserve. Halftone reproduction of a photograph, copied from the official publication "Medal of Honor, 1861-1949, The Navy", page 280. Jack Williams received the Medal of Honor, posthumously, for "conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life" on 3 March 1945, during the Battle of Iwo Jima.
