Julián Marías Aguilera (June 17 1914 – December 15 2005), was a Spanish philosopher. His History of Philosophy (1941) is widely accepted as the greatest work written in Spanish on the subject of the history of philosophy[source?]. He was a pupil of the Spanish philosopher José Ortega y Gasset.
