K.I.S.S. stands for "Keep It Simple, Stupid" (or "Keep It Short and Simple", or "Keep It Short and Sweet", or "Keep It Simple, Smartypants".) It is used when someone explains something in a way that is a little too difficult to understand.

In computer terms, a design principle employed by developers to prevent creating something too complicated for its user-base or too intelligent for its own good.
