Wall-E is a 2008 American animated movie created by Pixar and Disney. It was released on June 27, 2008 by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.^[1]

In the year 2805, Earth has been polluted with waste and humanity has abandoned the planet by boarding a giant interstellar ark called the Axiom. They have built hundreds of domestic compactorbots called WALL-E units, who make piled cubes of waste in an attempt to restore the planet for the company. Seven hundred years later, one robot spends most of his days cleaning the city and collecting odds and ends, before finding a surviving plant hidden in a refrigerator.

The A-RV appears and assigns EVE to investigate the city. WALL-E meets and invites EVE into his home. He shows the Hello Dolly movie on a videocassette recorder. When WALL-E shows a plant to EVE, she takes it and becomes deactivated. The A-RV comes back on Earth, takes EVE and returns to outer space, with WALL-E following it.

As the A-RV returns to the Axiom, WALL-E notices that all humans have gained weight and lost some bones, while sitting on levitating chairs, and served by robots. The AUTO and Captain McCrea examine EVE's body in the main dock, only to find the plant gone. The Captain sends EVE to the repair ward, believing her to be faulty.

As EVE is taken to be cleaned, WALL-E mistakenly assumes that they are going to dismantle her. In an attempt to rescue her, he inadvertently destroys the security system at the repair ward. He and EVE escape from the hallway along with the freed malfunctioning robots. EVE attempts to send WALL-E back to Earth in an escape pod, but GO-4, who had stolen the plant, attempted to place it in the pod. WALL-E ends up inside the pod when it ejects. He uses a fire extinguisher to save himself and the plant, before the pod self destructs.

The robots return to the Axiom. As McCrea watches each of the videos EVE recorded on Earth, he realizes they must return to Earth. However, AUTO refuses, revealing he stole the plant for GO-4, and its outdated secret directive no-return issued to all AUTO units by BNL inaccurately believing Earth to be too toxic to inhabit safely and that humans should survive in space forever. An angry McCrea argues how the plant is proof against the directive, but AUTO and GO-4 stage a treacherous mutiny. GO-4 discards the plant in a waste shaft, but WALL-E, who had been climbing inside the shaft, catches it and hides it before he is electrocuted by AUTO. EVE is shut down, and both are sent down to the shaft. McCrea is trapped in the room.

In the garbage disposal area, where large robots are compacting trash into cubes, EVE wakes up as she is being pressed into a cube. She manages to break free and saves WALL-E from being sent into space with the help of M-O. They and the other robots race to place the plant in the capsule. The humans receive a message from the captain stating that the robots are staging a mutiny. WALL-E is able to prevent AUTO from deactivating the Holo-Detector, despite getting crushed afterwards, and McCrea recovers and disables AUTO. The humans and robots work together to place the plant inside the capsule. After the Axiom returns to Earth, EVE repairs WALL-E's body. Though WALL-E cannot remember EVE, the spark makes them remember each other. The movie ends with the humans learning to grow plants and working with the robots to restore all life on Earth.
