Myawaddy

Myawaddy is a town in southeastern Myanmar, in Kayin State.

Armed conflict[change | change source]

A battle is ongoing (2024's second quarter) in the outskirts of Myawaddy;[1] The Karen National Union (KNU) and People's Defence Force (PDF) took control of the town. Myanmar's military [no longer] has a military base (as of 2024's second quarter); Battalion 275 base, [was the last government] base in Myawaddy.[2]
